We stayed at Bellamaya from March 18th - 24th. We visited the resort as my brother was getting married there. Overall, I would state that the resort was beautiful, relaxing and a perfect place for a low-key wedding! Pros The condos are fantastic! Three of us spent a week at the Bella Maya at the end of February. We were met at the airport and transported down the bumpy road to the resort. The Bella Maya is very new and every day saw something new completed while we were there. Our two bedroom unit looked out over the ocean and the pool area.... more

We were at the Bella in January and it was delightful .There is not much to do in Placencia so if you are looking for an organized activities this is not the place. The Bella is new and is still ironing out details but the room was gorgeous, the staff would do anything for you and the food was great.... more

The Bella Maya Resort is being advertised as a Luxury Resort & the price for a week is almost double the Placentia Hotel which is just a 10 minute drive down the road.
