We stayed at the Colibri House in June, for just over a week. It exceeded our expectations. The price is more than reasonable, and you get the accommodations of a expensive place in Placencia. Stefano, the owner, is fabulous! He dropped by to make sure we were okay, and if we needed anything a number of times...but was never intrusive.... more

Its a clean and comfortable place that has a very warm and inviting atmosphare- I love the wooden structure. There is a kitchen, so when staying for a few days its easy on the pocket. With much space and internet availability, you can get work done, but feel relaxed doing at the same time - its steps from the sea! more

The Colibri House is a really nice beachfront home. There is nothing but sand between you and the water. The thing I want to let potential visitors about the location is you are 1/4 mile to 1 mile from most of the "action" in town (restaurants, bars, shops). Colibri House deserves the high ratings that so many travelers have given it here. We spent three nights. It's located at the north end of the sidewalk "main street" of Placencia, just beyond the shops/restaurants/etc, effectively on the beach.
