If you travel to Orange Walk, you must have dinner and a drink here. The view of the river was breath taking. Lance Pelayo, the owner, came over to make sure that everything was to our liking. It definitely was. The food was delicious. Next time, we'll stay here too. Very quiet and peaceful.

We didn't stay here but did come to the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was great too!! The server was very concerned we avoid the mosquitoes by leaving the riverside seating area and come indoors. He was friendly and checked up on us reguarly.

I only stayed for one night as the room was a little above my budget at $80/ night. That being said I think this is excellent value for someone traveling on a slightly higher budget, or couples. Great location, very affordable, and very comfortable. Right on the river with palapas right along the water to sit and eat or relax. WiFi provided which is nice when you are traveling. We had just arrived in Belize from Cancun Airport via the ADO to Chetumel and Chickenbus to Orange Walk and found with luck we found Lamani Riverside Retreat. And what a little treat it was. Robert and I enjoyed the Lamanai Riverside Retreat. Our rooms were wonderful, also had A/C for you A/C lovers. Food, and spirits were excellent. The location was perfect. Mr. P and his family have it going on. Saw lots of wildlife(manatee&morlet's crocidile), and enjoyed the boat ride to Lamanai ruins. We will be back. Good people...
