Lamanai Outpost Lodge is perhaps the most welcoming place we have stayed on our global travels. From being greeted at the airport by Ruben and warmly welcomed by Blanca at the reception desk, to the friendly staff in the dining room and kitchen, there is an obvious attention to detail and a genuine desire to provide the best for every... more

The Lamanai Outpost Lodge is in the perfect location for our trip to Lamanai. It's a 15 minutes walk to the Mayan ruins where we visited every morning during our stay. We swam, canoed and napped in the hammock cabana every day. The grounds were beautifully maintained. We had a lagoon front cabana and it was perfect. The view from... more

This was the best part of our second trip to Belize (we also stayed at Black Orchid, Chan Chich and on Caye Caulker). The boat ride and setting are spectacular, activities are well organized with excellent guides, the staff are warm and friendly, the cabanas are rustic but comfortable and the food was better than I expected given the remote... more

Honestly, our trip to Belize was a bit disappointing in many ways. We didn't care for the islands as much as we thought we would. However, everything changed when we got to the Lamanai Outpost Lodge. This place was amazing. The jungle here is as lush as anywhere in the world (and I've stayed in the Amazon) and full of... more

If you can, take the boat ride to the Lodge. This was our first stop in Belize and what a way to arrive! Great place to stay, friendly and relaxing and you are instantly surrounded with wildlife. The inclusive trips are well worthwhile with very interesting and knowledgeable guides who take the trouble to find out your interests and help... more

We spent four days at Lamanai and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is over an hour boat ride, which was enjoyable as our guide pointed out wildlife along the way. The grounds are very well kept, like a lush tropical garden. They have a nice dock where we enjoyed the breeze off the lagoon while we read or just relaxed,... more

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Lamanai Outpost Lodge. A perfect setting to enjoy the Mayan ruins, and learn a lot about the local culture! We were met at the airport immediately after landing, driven to the New River where Mauricio met us and took us by boat to Lamanai. Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable,... more

We spent 4 days in Lamani and it was the most enjoyable leg of our travel around the region. Overall service and friendliness of the staff was excellent which was complimented by very impressive knowledge of the guides who left us spellbound with their quality and in depth knowledge on all topics. Location was breath taking over looking the lagoon... more

We spent 3 nights here as part of our driving holiday in Belize and it was way too long! Unfortunately, we had pre-booked so we were stuck. One or 2 nights would have been more than enough. The reason for choosing this resort was its proximity to the Lamanai Mayan ruins which is a 5 minute up the road. The... more

We also stayed at Caye Chapel as well as Blancaneaux (both around the same price range) and this was the best. From the personalized service and wonderful local food(my husband is vegetarian).. if you are looking for a different experience (not a 5 star american resort experience), this is for you. It is expensive, but decent value considering that it... more
