I went to give a conference, so I didn't do much outside of the hotel. I can't comment on the location, but it was recommended that I did not venture out to walk. Rooms are very comfortable, it has a pool, good variety of restaurants, nice bar, and shopping area. Service is excelent. although I had to buy an internet... more

The Westin Hotel is a very nice hotel located in a great neighborhood. The service is good- nothing exceptional. They seem to be well staffed but I found the staff a little robotic and they did not go out of their way to help. The rooms were very standard. They are averaged sized but felt a little outdated. The TV... more

I stayed at the Westin Camino Real for a week traveling on business, and found the service excellent and the rooms pleasant enough. As others have commented, the exterior is a bit shabby, but this seemed to be the case with other high-end hotels in Guatemala City as well. The location can't be beaten, and there are many restaurants and... more

As a Platinum Starwood Member, you would enjoy the Executive Lounge. They have a very large gym and outdoor pool. The Staff is very helpful, especially the Concierges. There are many good tourist and local restaurants around the hotel. I went Guatemala for the first time and based myself from the Westin for 4 nights. I spent way too much... more

The Westin was pretty whelming. Not overwhelming, not underwhelming. Just OK. The lobby was nice, if a bit chintzy. The room was okay, if a bit heavy on the brass. The bathroom was okay, even though the light fixtures belonged to the local Big Boy and not a 5-star hotel. The bed was comfortable, but the view was not stellar.... more

We spent the first night of our 8 day Guatemalan adventure at the Camino Real. It was the right choice for several reasons. First, our TACA flight from LA arrived in Guatemala City at around 7:30am and we were quite tired from the overnight flight. After quickly clearing customs, we arrived at the hotel around 8:30am. Our room was available... more

Stayed a couple nights at the Westin in Guatemala City. Very comfortable beds, good service, but rooms were a little small and musty. Food at the restaurants was overpriced and not particularly good. However, the hotel is in a nice area of town, and it is easy to walk to good restaurants. Overall, a nice hotel for the country, but... more

I stayed at the Westin Guatemala City for 7 days in July. I found the hotel to be mostly as advertised except with a 3 star plus category. As for its location, it is right in the middle of the best part of the city and within a few hundred yards of all of the other big hotels including the... more

The Westin offered the luxury we needed after a long trip throughout Guatemala. True to Westin standards, the bedding was plush, the bath was beautifully outfitted with a double headed showerhead and great thick towels, the television offered good cable service with stations in various languages (and more than just CNN in English). Since we had been traveling for quite... more

During the Month of July I was visiting Guatemala City for Business and decided to stay in Westin Camino Real. It was one of my best experience I ever had. The Hotel has the perfect location in Zona 10 which most of the businesses that I needed to visit were located. I booked one of the suites on the sixth... more
