I spent one night at Hotel Ciudad Vieja, after arriving at the airport and before leaving the next day for Antigua. It was a wonderful place to stay for a solo traveler. We have been staying at the Hotel Ciudad Vieja for 5 years (approx 4-6 times each year). It's small enough to be friendly, very clean, large and extremely comfortable rooms.
