7 of us (ages 15 - 50) stayed here for three nights. All of our rooms were great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Hotel is just as described on their website, and the location is very convenient. Highly recommended. Also recommend Monteverde Tours as a local tour/guide company. They provided multiple tours and transportation during our 6... more

Perhaps we’d arrived at a bad time, or somehow said something to upset our hostess, but the reception we received from Dana, the owner, was chilly to say the least, and barely improved throughout our stay, in spite of our best efforts. This was partly mitigated, however, by her friendly staff, who cooked a pleasant breakfast every morning. Our ground... more

This is a charming inn very close to Xela's central park operated by an American. Each room is different but all offer air conditioning, satellite TV and private bath. Breakfast is included in the room price and was fabulous. We also had a lovely dinner at the inn. The owner has recently opened a restaurant nearby called Los Tejanos. We... more

This was a wonderful B & B right off the square in Xela. The place has a family feel. There is a separate room to eat dinner of breakfast. There are umbrellas at the door to use. And best of all fireplaces in the rooms. On the roof is a wonderful deck to sun and read and drink wine and... more

We arrived at Casa Manen without a reservation, and the staff was very nice and had a room for us for $60 us dollars, a slight discount if you pay in cash. The room we stayed in was huge and tastefully decorated. Because we arrived late and after a 5 hour bus ride, we were hungry so we ordered a... more

This attractive hotel is conveniently located in a side street just off the main square, although once inside the gated courtyard it's very peaceful. The rooms are quite large with open fireplaces, and decorated with local furnishings, pottery and wood carvings. There's a great view of the city from the rooftop. The owners are friendly with lots of useful info.... more

We stayed at this place for a couple of nights during our honeymoon. Although a bit overpriced, it is perfectly located and the staff is definitely very nice, smiling and helpful. We agree with previous reviews about “the bad”: the fireplace filled the room with smoke, and the only real alternative was to freeze, because it was very cold; there... more

My oldest daughter and I traveled to Xela (Quezeltenango) Guatemala to visit a younger daughter who was studying Spanish in the city. We booked our stay at Casa Manen, a small (9 rooms) B & B located just two blocks off of the Parque Central. You enter the hotel through a gated walkway that opens into a small, but very... more
