I’ve spent the past several weeks contemplating on just what to write about my recent one day stay at Camp Bay Lodge located on the east side of Roatan. The beach is beautiful, food fantastic, lodging adequate and the snorkeling marginal. We had planned to spend several days at the resort, but left after 28-hours because we felt very uncomfortable... I just spent 2wks here and it was the best 2wks I ever had.The hotel rooms were nice and roomy and clean, and the food here was out of this world. The owner was most helpful with anything I wanted or needed. The diving was outstanding,so many sites to choose from and all were 5 to 10 minutes from the doc. This was the... there was no dive shop, dive equipment, dive boat or a dive master. His introduction orientation to us all involved flashing FBI credentials and telling us that if we walked on the beach or left the resort we would be shot. He claimed to have a security man that would would never see who was Honduras Military trained and we... More

From the moment she arrived, she complained about everything as though we are the Four Seasons Hotel (which is a service we do not offer). We are a quaint, out-of-the-way resort, far from the hustle-and-bustle of Roatan's West End where people go for rest and relaxation; Not to get cel service, work on the Internet or expect personal massages, etc.... This place was exactly what we were looking for. No TV, no phone (but you can borrow one), no computer (but again, you can access internet if desired), no intrusions! The unit was clean & comfortable with lots of hot water, books, beach chairs, good breezes & views. The beach is deserted both directions & is great walking. The point... More

This is a wonderful resort that offers you the chance to really unwind. The staff is wonderful and the food is incredible. The beachfront is spectacular, there is always a nice breeze - no need for AC at night and that way you can hear the ocean as you fall asleep. I am including a lot of pictures that really... More

Spent a day with my family at the resort during a family vacation. Resort is located about 70 min. away from the airport and there are no large towns anywhere near. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Whether you are a diver (owner is a certified diver, resort offers packages) or not. Here you will... More

WE opted for the $35 airport transfer and that was one of the best decisions i made on the trip! Jorje picked us up and shuffled us 1 hr east of Coxen Hole... with a necessary pit stop at a super market and many jokes along the way about "do you know how far camp bay is???".. 'there's no turning... More

My travel companion and I ended our 9 day trip to Honduras with a stay at Camp Bay Beach Adventure Lodge - it appealed to us for its beautiful, secluded beach, and it did not disappoint! The prices are also very competitive for what you get - clean rooms, safety, very good hospitality, and gorgeous surroundings (we paid $39/night for... More

Ok, let's get the 'bad' out of the way first. Yes, it took a while to get there; no, there wasn't anything to do or eat after 6 or 7pm since it was pitch black out and the 2 cooks had gone home for the night; and no, it didn't have the amenities of a true resort. But I definitely... More

I was greeted upon arrival at Camp Bay Feb 2nd, by the new owner Jami. He gave me the resort low down, we sorted some paper work and he asked if I had any needs. I said I wanted to do the kayak snorkel trip but understood he needed a minimum for three to make it financial feasible. I am... More
