Thelma and O'Neil are more than innkeepers, they are amazing hosts! I have stayed in hotels on 4 continents, and never been in a cleaner hotel. truely - go to Roatan and skip Utila, but if u do go - the light house is the best hotel (and believe me we checked the most of them...) the ownrs are super nice, the place is beautiful, clean and the location is great. more

We stayed at the LIghthouse for a week in February and really enjoyed the sunsets and fish under the deck. The owners were very helpful and run a first class small hotel.The rooms were nicely appointed and had everything we needed. The location was great to walk to all the great restaurants on Utila. more

Stayed 7 nights to rescue my son from his $2 a night backpacking adventure (there was no way I would share a dorm with 20 others and no hot water) Stayed a week, & wouldn't reco anywhere else.
