We recently made our first trip to the Amana Colonies and just by luck stayed at Annie's Garden Guest House. It was a great experience from the accommodations, full breakfast (Annie's serves only breakfast since it is a Bed and Breakfast), and great advice about what to do and see in the Colonies. We stayed at Annie's Guest House in June of 2009 for two nights. Everything about the stay was just as we had hoped - a warm and friendly hostess, a very comfortable and spacious room, delicious and plentiful breakfasts, and quiet, peaceful surroundings. Annie and Jesse made us feel so much at home, it was like visiting generous, gracious relatives. Annie's Garden Guest House is owned and operated by a delightful couple, Annie and Jesse. They are hospitable and want very much to please their guests. The location is good, as it is an easy walk to everything in Amana. The owners are in residence on the first floor of this historic home and continue to provide upgrades and improvements.... more
