My husband and me spent 4 nights in this riad last August. It is a familiar house managed by a friendly french woman. The swimming pool and the garden are wonderful, and the staf was very kind. We were in a suite, clean and elegant decorated. The breakfast was served in the terrace. It's a very good choice for relax and calm in this loud city, the only matter is that you need a car or a taxi to arrive there, and that it's quite difficult to find the riad. But it's about 10 min. to the centre of Agadir. They speak arabic and french, but not english or spanish. more

A supposed haven away from the built up areas of Agadir, Dar Maktoub seemed like a good choice.

Just a few rooms set in the eucalyptus trees, lovely swimming pool and relaxed atmosphere. However, Manou (the owner and chef) charges €20 for a very basic meal which is extremely overpriced. 3 simple courses were served in half an hour and there was definitely pressure to eat as fast as possible and to leave the restaurant area quickly.

My partner and I had to leave early due to unforseen circumstances and when faced with this information, the owner issued a tirade of abuse at shrill, high volume. Will definitely not be going back!
