The hotel was a true oasis from the hustle of the medina outside. Built around a 2,000 sqm tropical garden, it is set in a historical palace yet offers every mod con available to man. The atmosphere is serene, the staff incredibly professional and discreet, and the Moroccan cooking very refined. There is lunch by the pool or dinner under... more

We felt like we were called to this place, and spent our 4 days there like the Sultans of old. The rooms are all unique and every space has been touched with an artist's hand, not overdone and supremely comfortable, like staying in a friend's home, if a palatial one. The garden, the pool, the terraces are all delightful to... more

The gardens, the pool, the food n the rooms were all gorgeous. The pool is not only beautiful, but a blessing. It felt like being in your own palace. Staff was attentive but you hardly hear or see them. The reconstruction of the Riad is neatly done, and they are working on a second Riad next door. Don’t miss roof... more

Fes is fabulous, but the real high point of my recent holiday there, my third vacation in Morocco, was the glorious Riad Alkantara. From the moment of our arrival, we knew we were in a very special place. It immediately sets the mood for an authentic, but luxurious, Moroccan idyll. Fettah, the owner and host, is as charming and fascinating... more

We stayed three days in this riad mid July. Everything was delightful. The riad is an early 20th century restored with traditional techniques with modern taste and sense of Moroccan influence. Adjacent riads from the 19th and 18th century are under restoration (if you canmeet the owner, you might be lucky enough to get a private visit to discover all... more

We didn't actually stay at the Riad Alkantara, but it was recommended by the staff at our Riad as worth a visit, which it most certainly was. For a set rate as a non resident you can spend a day in the gardens and by the pool (a rare luxury in Fes, and the stuff of dreams in the 45... more

We stayed at Riad Alkantara for three days and it was a magic place. The garden and swimming pool are magnificent. Mr Seffar was a really nice host, the staff was very kind and caring. Our welcome dinner, which we did not expect, was superb and we are all looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommended! more

We (4) had a wonderful stay at Riad Alkantara in March. Everything worked the facility was beautiful and well maintained. Mr. Seffar is a wonderful host and great source of information. I found the restoration of these buildings fascinating. Not everything is perfect and that is the fun. You will need good legs and heart to get around Fez as... more
