Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This wasn't a great hotel. Staff were very friendly but the rooms weren't great. Was given a room with two single beds which were very uncomfortable. WiFi didn't work in room. Heard creepy noises throughout night (air-conditioning noise/creeking), toilet didn't flush, could hear dogs barking all night. Wouldn't stay here again.

We thank you for sharing your experience, we are pleased to inform you that we are renovating the Mures. We are sorry to know that you were not satisfied during your stay at our hotel, but we would like to specify the following: our hotel is proud to provide the best customer service and have rooms and facilities luxurious. We apologize if you have had a bad meeting, but we can assure you that this is not the norm in our hotel and that this certainly does not represent what we are looking for. We have submitted all your remarks to our direction for study and consideration, which will help us to improve.

Hotel has a classic and beatiful structure but is clearly poor administrated. One of the rooms my family stayed still had the bathroom trash full. The bar staff is unprofessional as everyone stopped what they were doing to whatch a football match. Clients felt bad about ordering drinks and food. The food, by the way, is poor. We asked for pizzas and they came very rough and tasteless. I wouldnt repeat my stay. They say they have wifi but it doenst work in the rooms.

Where do I start? We arrived here for a few nights after doing a three day trip from marrakech on a mini bus, we wanted a little bit of comfort after staying in tents and spending so much time in a van. While we knew this wasn't a 5 star hotel, we weren't expecting this. We were checked into a room which was already being occupied. I'm not kidding, I walked into someone else's room with all their bags on the side boards and on the bed. I couldn't believe it. How their computer systems let them allocate us a room which is already being used is baffling enough. When we went down to tell them, they weren't fazed by this in the slightest! No apology and little care! We later asked for a map of the city so we could explore, but they don't have these. You have to buy one from the hotel shop. - even the Riads we have stayed in have given us a free map, so why a huge hotel doesn't have this is beyond me. They arranged us a tour guide for the medina and quoted us 150 dirham. But when we went to pay him at the end of the tour he asked for 250. We asked the hotel why he wanted a different amount and they (eventually) told us it's because it's the price for 2 people, although they never mentioned this before and they knew there was two of us! The room: Basic, lacking In Character, dated. No effort made to make it feel Moroccan - I could be anywhere! The gardens are pretty but nothing good to say about anything else! I wish we'd opted for a riad instead of trying to play it safe and stay in a hotel. It probably would have been more comfortable! As for Fez in general, I wouldn't recommend this city to anyone. It's dirty, and rough, and we wish we'd gone back to marrakech for the last few days of our trip.

How this place has 4 stars on its sign is beyond me, run down bits fallen off walls, grubby, I have stayed at more run down places but not many. Beds are good , food is basic and I saw a waiter handling some food with his hands 'yuk'. However the people are kind and helpful and you do have to remember 4 stars in Morocco is 1 to 2 stars in the UK. Location is very good it's is not a quiet place though. Morocco never sleeps and we could hear Street voices all night from the 3rd floor. Stay in Morocco with your eyes open not for luxury the people are beautiful .

Within 3 minutes walk of only McDonalds in Fez and nearby modern mall and a carrefour so locally priced fruit n water etc easily purchased. Rooms n hotel left alot to be desired thought and is only a place to sleep provided u get over the non-covered grooty previously white duvets onnthe bed. Thank God there were sheets in between both duvet n mattress .... Rooms could be alot cleaner too. Easy to catch a red petite taxi as they are nearby. Cab fare from nearby medinah Dh17 only. Easy to navigate cabbies to the only mcD's .

Probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was below average. The breakfast was below average. The place was not busy due to the massive drop in tourism numbers for Morocco. I actually felt sorry for the staff. There was a massive brawl outside on the street involving local teenagers (about 30 - 40 of them), some of them had knives. There was an underground walkway to another hotel which had a pool, it was very bizarre. The other pool had lots of local kids it seemed there just messing around. They had music blurring really loudly. I would never ever go back here. Can't believe there are actually some positive reviews, I guess the people who wrote them live in 3rd world conditions normally?

My husband and I went to Fes in March 2015. It's a beautiful city full of culture. Had a splendid time. The hotel made our stay more enjoyable. The room was fabulous, very big, clean and comfortable bed, people are very warm and welcoming. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and understanding especially manager Yazid. The food is ok but one can get bored if staying for more than 2-3 days. The wifi was excellent. Would definitely recommend and would be going again.

Immediate surroundings of hotel not great - broken pavements, weeds, litter, garbage, broken branches on pavements and so on. A train line is across the road (trains during the night may disturb your sleep). Yet within view and easy walking distance is a large modern shopping mall with Carrefour, Pizza Hut, McDonalds within or just outside. There is an elaborate reception area with tea to welcome guests. The room was quite large. The light switches were confusing and difficult to figure out. No indication as to what turns what on...one switch turns on or off a lamp, fridge and TV! Bathroom on the small side and set up impractical. The bidet is situated right in front of the toilet so that one does not 'sit' on the toilet...one is forced to 'straddle' it. Room obviously designed by someone who grew up straddling a 'squatpot'! Dinner and breakfast in hotel utterly forgettable. Food at buffet not replenished - when finished it is finished. So get to the buffet early or you will miss out.
