This was a wonderful retreat from the chaotic atmosphere of the Medina. The staff were warm and helpful in every way, offering to get us a taxi, providing dining suggestions etc. The view of the old medina area is spectacular and the room was lovely. The only problem was the bed is very firm (my husband loved it) and the... more

We stayed 5 nights as part of a walking and sightseeing tour. As others have said, the hotel is positioned above the medina providing great views of the city. However, our guide advised against going out of the hotel grounds as it was a "bad area". Our room had windows which wouldn't close properly. We changed rooms, but the one... more

Stayed 2 nights in the hotel as part of a week around the King cities (Meknes, Rabat, Fez + Marrakech). Great view over the old medina: but too far to walk to it (and also too far from 'new' city). Decent rooms, nice pool and obby. Had a super Tagine in the top floor restaurant. Co-traveler is Morrocan national and he... more

We spent a week at this hotel taking day trips to Volubilis, Meknes and the Middle Atlas in addition to touring Fes. The room was lovely and although we had a bit of trouble mastering the shower and not getting water everywhere, the bath was also excellent. The staff treated us very well, even going to the local pharmacy to... more

There are two advantages to this hotel: 1. The view is spectacular and I am told the only hotel in Fez with this type of view. 2. It's out of the medina which could be a nice advantage after enough time has been spent in the craziness of the main city There are too many disadvantages to list but since... more

Stayed two nights at this hotel with a group from Great Train Journeys and the general opinion was that although the hotel itself was of good quality the staff were not particularly friendly more

If you are a light sleeper and have a room overlooking the front entrance, you will be woken at 4.35 am with the call to prayer. A pretty average hotel it is now owned by "Places & Traditions". Service is slow due to lack of staff but rooms are clean and the bath is long more

I first stayed in this hotel back in the middle 1980's so I was interested to see how it has weathered the time. I returned there last Saturday night and stayed overnight before returning to Rabat. The hotel is in good condition, still has the stunning view of Fes that I remembered from the 80's. My room was very comfortable,... more

Stayed just one night here (€127 for two people) and it was great. Fantastic view...very friendly and helpful staff...great food. Couldn't have asked for more! Beautiful swimming pool beside outdoor bar with amazing views of the medina...the perfect place to relax after a tiring day exploring the medina. more

My room was lovely (although oddly the telephone never worked and according to the hotel couldn't be repaired) and the view was stunning. But this hotel is in desperate need of a new staff or some new training. The restaurant staff, in particular, was incredibly rude and breakfast was never, ever laid out on time. While the hotel claims breakfast... more
