can't heap enough praise on this place - it is absolutely stunning (carefully redone old Moroccan house with much attention to every detail on every tile and piece of stucco) - in a perfect location in the old medina (all must see sights are in easy walking distance); the management and staff are incredibly helpful - each guest receives individual... more

I cannot say enough about this hotel and restaurant. The owner, an American woman (Jennifer), lovingly restored this historical building to its full grandeur but with a few modern upgrades (flush toliets, showers, etc). The rooms are gorgeous; the court yard incredible, and the roof top truly amazing. You just can't beat the rooftop view during breakfast. The staff can... more

We stayed in Dar Roumana for our first two nights in Fez. It is a truly gorgeous dar with gracious service, impeccable presentation and excellent food. The roof top is lovely and the facilities excellent - we spent another three weeks in Morocco after leaving and Dar Roumana was hands down the best accommodation we enjoyed while there. more

I honestly can't believe anyone rates this fewer than 5 stars. The interior is lavish and gorgeous enough that I literally welled up. It's incredible - the pictures don't do it justice. My boyfriend and I laughed and laughed over how ridiculously beautiful the Yasmina suite is. Service is meticulous, support staff lovely and SO attentive...really, the complaints about "only"... more

After several months of working a grueling schedule making a movie in Marrakech, I wanted to experience a different and ancient part of Morocco. So, I went wearily to Fez. This riad was a complete oasis. The rooms are just stunning and huge and comfortable. The people who run it could NOT have been nicer. They were really sweet and... more

Make the most of your visit to Fes by staying in the Yasmina Suite at Dar Roumana. The staff were gracious, food was exceptional and the room was simply stunning. We did the cooking lesson which starts with a trip to the market in the morning, this was the highlight of our trip to Morocco. We met all the store... more

Perfection! From the moment we made our reservation the staff and owners of the magnificent Dar Roumana were welcoming, extraordinarily helpful and genuinely friendly. I was traveling with my teenage sons and we all loved the splendid, but at the same time extremely comfortable and hospitable atmosphere of Dar Roumana. The food was absolutely delicious at every meal and the... more

Dar Roumana was wonderful - great, great food, views of Fez, quiet and fun. One of the best travel experiences of my life - and I've had many. No nickel-and-diming - the library and terrace are free for use anytime, including the computer to check your email. No tipping for each transaction - a box at checkout. I loved the... more
