Left w/ a bad taste because of little things when the experience should have been outstanding because of the beautiful restoration of a special property with in the old walled city. Large room w/ 20ft ceiling and fireplace opening onto a courtyard w/ orange trees and a roof top terrace w/ view of the city. Of 4 hotels we stayed... more

From a dusty, crowded shop-lined path in the medina we passed through a doorway and found ourselves in the most beautiful, peaceful, cool courtyard, flanked by tall two storey-high walls down which the Moroccan sun cast its mix of light and shadow. The grassed central part with its fountain, four orange trees flanked by beautiful white arches was just too... more

Really, really gorgeous -mouth drop open- place, and terrific staff. Oh, and I cannot forget the two closest friends that I made at the Riad Laaroussa.... Bill and Ted- the labrador ambassors of Fez. These two dogs have the life! What a place! My husband and I are already talking about a return trip and we just got home yesterday!!! more

We had a wonderfull stay at riad Laaroussa. Fred the owner has done an amazing job rebuilding this magnificent palace located right in the middle of the famous Medina. We have loved our delicious breakfasts on the roof deck with great view over the medina, the peacefull drinks in the very refresing patio and its orange tree and water fountain,... more

INCREDIBLE accommodations for our entire family (6 adults and one teenager); all loved the Riad Laaroussa; we had 3 different suites. An amazing center city (Medina) and view from rooftop patio is beautiful. Our first time in Fez, will definitely go back. NOT recommeded for elderly who will have trouble climbing stairs to the rooftop patio, where breakfast is served.... more

Fred and the gang were wonderful. Someone was always paying attention to our needs. Even though the Riad was full it seemed to be our special place. They made our stay a relaxing one. We were all over 60 and had booked the 2 suites on the ground floor. Both suites were tasteful and wonderful with a fireplace we used... more

We were looking for a place in which we could do nothing but read, peacefully and comfortably, under what we were hoping would be some February sunshine. The great weather was just our good luck, but everything else was down to Fred and his team. They have created a haven in the middle of the medina. This was not 5*... more

Awesome, awesome riad. Located in the heart of the medina. Everyone at the riad was very warm, friendly and hospitable. My friend and I even got a room upgrade! The rooms, decor and riad are amazing - a palatial paradise hidden in the alleyways of Fes. Great food and the rooftop dining/lounge area affords great views of the town. Getting... more

An oasis where peaceful harmony prevails. Fred and staff make you feel like this is your home and they are there simply to make your stay fabulous. The food is sublime and the Moroccan almond cookies...yum. I want to return today. more
