My wife and I were told about Riad Bledna by some other people in our hotel. It was very easy to book, and we were picked up in the morning and taken back there by their lovely driver. Mohamed met us upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. We spent the day with the pool to ourselves, enjoyed some amazing home cooked food 👌🏼, and had the most relaxing time in a beautiful garden with just birdsong to break the silence. It was exceptional value for money given the quality of the food and the transfer to and from our hotel. A quality bit of ‘us time’ away from the craziness of Marrakesh. 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We came to Riad Bledna to spend a wonderfully relaxing pool day with them away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. It is an absolutely beautifully located Riad set within serene greenery and groves of lemon trees, with chickens and peahens running about. We had freshly squeezed lemon juice on arrival, which was heavenly, and a very delicious lunch. The hosts were incredibly friendly and absolutely wonderful, and catered easily to me being coealic and making our food gluten free. We were the only day guests there at the time and had an incredibly relaxing and beautiful day, our two and a half year old loved the pool and looking at the chickens. The Riad itself also looks very beautiful. It was the perfect escape from busy Marrakech to cook off in the 35 degree weather! We highly recommend this wonderful day trip to everyone.

We stayed at Riad Bledna for 3 nights to have a rest from backpacking. Mohammed was the most brilliant host. He collected us from the bus station, looked after us and his amazing cook filers us with the most delicious breakfasts, luches and dinners while we were there. The food was definitely a highlight - delicious! It was also lovely to see all of the animals/ birds. When we were there his peahen was wandering around with little chicks - very cute! The swimming pool was lovely and we used it as a great way to keep cool in the heat. The room was large and clean, however, when we were there, the shower didn’t drain and water flowed out of the bathroom, into the bedroom. Overall, a lovely place to stay and feel like a family guest. There were a couple of other things which had been overlooked (bulbs missing from lights etc) but you couldn’t fault the hospitality and peace.

Come to Bledna to utterly relax and be pampered. We stayed here twice during our holiday as we liked it so much, we changed our plans and spent the last few nights here. Prettiest rooms we had in Morocco - very cool and spacious, with deliciously comfortable beds and very attractive bathrooms. The food is consistently delicious (homegrown) and you get spoiled during the day with drinks. Excellent swimming pool and lots of sitting areas to relax (as well as plenty of books, games, and DVDs to choose from). For us this was the perfect accommodation for Marrakesh, our kids loved it here. A bonus, as I don't speak Arabic or French, but Mohamed speaks great English.

I checked into Riad Bledna which is a B&B or a guesthouse in a suburb of Marrakech off of the Route d'Ouarzazate. You have to drive on a couple of short unpaved roads just to get to Riad Bledna though but it doesn't look deserted the way it sounds though. You drive on the main road past some nice fancy expensive hotel sites before reaching where Riad Bledna is such as The Oberoi hotel and the site of a huge resort they're in the middle of still building out there which will be called the Amelkis Resorts. The Riad Bledna is also not far from the area of Marrakech called Palmeraie which is filled with lots of land and which also has a number of fine four star and five star hotels including the Jnane Tamsna hotel. Riad Bledna has eight rooms - which all have their own en suite bathrooms - including a couple upstairs facing the back garden that have balconies but they haven't updated their information online on websites like the TripAdvisor website that still says that Riad Bledna has four rooms but anyway the owner whose name is Mohamed Nour eventually built on four other rooms. There are four members of staff working at Riad Bledna and one of them the helpful young man with the big smile on his face who is named Aziz greeted me and helped me with my luggage out of my flight transfer cab and he took my luggage out to my room which was one of the rooms behind the lovely center courtyard that has a window with a view of the pretty patio and back garden that has a large swimming pool in it. Riad Bledna also has a small parking space area for guests who are driving rental cars. I did like my room actually quite a bit and I like Riad Bledna's color schemes regarding its decor both inside and out but I'll be honest about certain things that surprised me though. Everything in my room looked OK except for what they what the little wicker chair by the closet was hiding which was a plug socket hanging out leaving a small hole in that wall near the floor and underneath the nice pink stone counter of the sink in my room's bathroom near the floor there was another larger hole where they should have finished putting a ventilation cover or whatever. It took me a little while to notice that especially because I was so tired when I first got into my room that I just went straight to sleep. The furniture, the window ledges, the closet and the floors weren't dusty at all however I did see a few little dust bunnies in the corners not far from the little bedside tables as though the staff had dusted and swept the floor but didn't pick up the last few dust bunnies and throw them out. That was weird because nothing else looked or felt dusty to the touch except for some reason the useful little bright lamp on the bedside table on my left in the bed which was handy in order to get up and use the bathroom in the night. For some reason they didn't pick up that little lamp to dust it down. I don't know why. But rest of the room was strangely OK and the only creatures that came in were the occasional moths. The closet in my room was a good size and it had a few shelves and a rail in it and it came with a padlock. I found the staff at Riad Bledna to be very trustworthy however because nothing was ever out of place when they came to clean my room. Laila was the lady who cleaned the rooms and who sometimes served the food but the young man Aziz served the food most of the time especially at breakfast time. The cook at Riad Bledna was a lovely quiet lady named Hanane I think (?) but I could be wrong and I feel bad about that. There was also the short older gentleman who worked outside on the grounds in the front garden, the back garden, the grove area where a number of different fruits and vegetables are grown by Riad Bledna and he cleans out the swimming pool which did look quite clean I must say but I have forgotten his name. Mohamed the owner of Riad Bledna speaks very good English however his staff didn’t speak English at all for the most part so they speak French, Arabic and a Berber language. The staff there are really nice but all I could do is speak to the using my very basic French. I have to say that all of the food at Riad Bledna is absolutely amazing. The food there is delicious, made from scratch and very authentic. Their cook is very good indeed. They eat off of the land at Riad Bledna including Riad Bledna's guests because they grow lemons, grapefruits, oranges, tomatoes, eggplants, zucchinis, squashes, quinces, etc that they serve everyday. The breakfast comes with the room and is light and traditional - almost like a North African twist on the very French continental breakfast. The breakfast is the typical round Moroccan bread, half of a grapefruit, soft cream cheese in triangles or squares wrapped up in foil, traditional Moroccan pancakes which sometimes look like crepes, sort of a thin almost 'roti' looking crepe or just like the American pancakes, homemade fruit jams or fruit preserves made of lemon and of strawberries or quinces, olive oil, butter and your choice of tea or coffee. The breakfasts are the same every day. Lunch and dinner at Riad Bledna is €10.00 Euros each and usually consist of a nice fresh salad or a homemade soup to start with, the main course and dessert is always a small selection of fresh fruit and wine with your meal is €12 Euros. Lunch and dinner changes every day. The food was very nice and very traditional. If you hang around inside the Riad Bledna anywhere just relaxing Aziz will offer you homemade lemonade a lot and I love lemonade. The lunches and dinners aren't always just the tagines either and there's no menu so you get whatever their kitchen has but the food is delicious. There are no menus at Riad Bledna at all so whatever the nice quiet cook makes for you in the kitchen is what you're eating in that place if you choose to eat there. So if anyone is a vegetarian, vegan or has food allergies and they choose to stay at Riad Bledna then they'd better email Mohamed straight away before paying for the accommodation out there just to find out if Riad Bledna can accommodate your needs regarding the food. By the way the coffee at Riad Bledna tasted awful I don't know where they got it from I only ordered the coffee there once at breakfast at Christmas Eve. However their tea tastes amazing and to be honest Morocco has more of a traditional tea serving culture anyway. I think that the flavor of tea that Riad Bledna served most of the time was the flavor that Moroccans call 'royal tea' – although I could be wrong - but a couple of times they’d served mint tea. I'm actually not a mint tea person but I love their 'royal tea'. I paid €495.00 Euros for a total of nine nights - not toward each night but for the total nine nights of my stay at Riad Bledna. You have to pay directly into Riad Bledna's bank account with a bank transfer as Riad Bledna is not on Expedia, Booking.com, etc Riad Bledna offers daily shuttle services to and from Marrakech – one during the morning and one during the evening - and if you're staying in there for three nights or more you receive flight transfers from and back to the airport. Mohamed the owner of Riad Bledna also has a tour guide company that has a website and he can take groups of any size - including solo travellers - on excursions absolutely anywhere in Morocco that they'd wish to go to including the Western Sahara desert and his tour excursion customers don't have to be guests at Riad Bledna either. But you can ask him about any excursions that you'd like to plan before getting to Riad Bledna and while you're actually there. Riad Bledna is a good choice for those who want tours to places outside of Marrakech because Mohamed can help you by arranging such tours and may even guide them for you. If you want to go to areas further out such as the Western Sahara or Chefchaouen then it would be better to contact Mohamed and arrange for that kind of tour before you fly out there. I used Mohamed’s tour guide services to go to the Agafay Desert and to the Ouzoud Cascade waterfalls and things worked out very well for me regarding those tours. I recommend the Riad Bledna for people who want just want to relax in a very quiet place because it literally gets as silent as the grave out there sometimes and Riad Bledna does accept children for those people who do have children because it has lovely front and back gardens for children to run around through. I do wish that I had chosen to stay in one of the lovely riads in the Medina area of Marrakech though looking back but only because that trip was the first time that I'd ever been to Marrakech and if I'd stayed in one of the riads in the Medina area I could have easily walked around to see most of the city's museums, galleries, palaces, souks, restaurants, etc either on foot at any time of the day or by taking the bus or a cab if necessary. At Riad Bledna I had to use their shuttle service to go into the town which was at one time in the morning and one time in the evening. But again Riad Bledna’s location is very good if you’ve already planned on driving around and seeing other parts of Morocco outside of Marrakech as it’s not far at all from the main roads that lead to other areas.

We stayed at Riad Bledna for 4 nights toward the end of a two-week trip in Morocco. We immediately felt at home there. The villa is beautiful and spacious, with a nice garden and swimming pool. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The pool is very large and well kept. The Riad offers food for lunch and dinner for a good price. Breakfast is included. The food is delicious and varied. Even after two weeks in the country, we discovered new Moroccan dishes there. In the evening, we often ate with other guests and sometimes also with the owner of the villa, Mohamed. Mohamed is also a guide for Inside Morocco Tours, which makes it very easy to organise trips from the villa. For example, Mohamed accompanied us on a day drip to Essaouira while we were there. He is also able to organise pick up and drop off from/to the airport (or elsewhere) if necessary. The staff (Youssef, Rita and Leïla) are lovely, extremely welcoming and accommodating! We would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere restful only a short drive away from Marrakesh.

If you want to visit Morocco in a proper way, you should start from Riad Bledna. The place is heaven, far from Marrakech chaos with a swimming pool and a cuisine mainly based on the products of the Riad's garden. Furthermore, Mohamed, the owner, is a mountain guide and he can help you about your trip schedule and/or he can guide you through lovely excursions around all over Morocco (desert included)! In our case, he helped us to organize in a perfect way our trip trough Morocco. And during all our trip he's always been ready to help us, even when we were with our car very far from the Riad. So, if you want to stay in a heavenly and relaxing place and be supported by a professional and wise man, don't miss Riad Bledna

After the hassle and bustle of the souks and cities, Riad Bledna is an oasis of peace and comfort. From the sparkling pool surrounded by lemon trees and oleander, to the courtyard blooming with roses, to the spacious rooms decorated in jewel tones, to the excellent food served at both lunch and dinner, this is a true find in a country of beautiful riads and charming inns. Mohammed Nour was the perfect host attending to every detail of our stay, ferrying us back and forth into Marrakesh, and taking us off-road on the the day trip of a lifetime deep into the desert and high into the Atlas Mountains. An incredible value for environment, food, and hospitality of the highest quality.
