Ok, so i realise that i cant expect the same standards in north africa as in europe for example but ..................... The first two rooms we were shown were grubby, dark and worn as in a american 20$ motel room. Both rooms had a musty smell that was apparent as soon as you stepped inside. The bathrooms hade lots of... more

Firstly this hotel is diffferent to what I would usually class as a 5* hotel. Definitely more of a 4 star but this is reflected in the price which I think is very reasonable. When I first checked in I was showed to a room which I thought looked tired so I called reception and they moved me to a... more

This is a tired hotel in need of refurbishment. On the plus side, its location is good in a relatively quiet part of the city but is a good 30 minute walk from the square and this requires negotiating very busy roads. The rooms are large and the cleaning staff very efficient and friendly. However the vast majority of the... more

The hotel is lovely with great grounds and the food was the best I have had in a hotel abroad with a great selection and quality. The hotel is beautiful and the service was great. May we worth brushing up on your French a little before you go as quite a few speak English but not all of them as... more

Having read a lot of mixed reviews I was not expecting too much, however we were on the whole pleasantly surprised not only was the Hotel in a very good location, both for quiet streets and closeness to main city centre but the public rooms and the pool and garden were very smart and clean. The garden espically has to... more

A superb hotel with excellent service. Three quality restaurants and a bar with occasional live music. New town and medina a pleasant twenty minutes walk away. Plenty of cabs available but you will have to haggle over the fare. The city and the hotel added up to a great experience. Overlanders2. more

Stayed for 5 nights - enjoyed the tranquility after the madness of the city centre! Lovely pool, gardens, free tennis, ping pong, great breakfast. Room was comfortable and we paid nothing for our 9 year old son - though he did share our huge bed! Most hotels in Morocco have tiled floors which meant that late night visitors in high heels... more

Stayed in new wing 'Koutoubia' for 4 nights. Large room, nice view of gardens and pool. Breakfast average but sufficient. Only ate dinner there once as was 200 dirhams (approx £20 or $30) plus drinks extra and it was basic but as it was a buffet I filled up well. Gym costs 100 dirhams which is out of order -... more

We stayed in the new wing of the hotel, the rooms were large and clean.this was not a 5* hotel in Europeaan standards, I would give it a 3 to 4 star rating. The staff were friiendly and helpful. In the resturant they were very weloming and the chef was always on site in the dining area to explain the... more

As others have written, the hotel is in an excellent location, in the center of town. The pool and pool bar are nice with good service at the bar. The pool bar is cool and airy and there are plenty of cocktails to chose from. My room, however, was more than a disappointment. The drapes in the room were ripped... more
