Riyad El Cadi - an oasis of calm welcomes the sophisticated traveller. Riyad El Cadi is a like a private art museum, but without a trace of stuffiness. Spread over 6 houses, the riad is an elegant 'home from home' - a glorious mix of chic, comfort, hospitality and art. Wander around courtyards, corridors and alcoves and you'll discover magnificent Berber and Islamic art treasures - a true feast for culture-vultures.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Six riads merged into one, with interlinking corridors and beautiful courtyards the Riyad as another reviewer stated "is an oasis of calm" especially as it is so close to the surrounding Medina and the legendary Djemaa El Fna. The staff are wonderful, nothing is to much trouble, they are happy to book tours and recommend restaurants, they even escort you to restaurants as it is easy to get lost in the labyrinth of alleyways that is old Marrakech. Rooms are spacious and the majority have living room spaces as well. We had dinner at the Riyad whilst there, it is a set menu but was really tasty as was the local wine, all in a wonderful setting. The pro's of Riyad El Cadi far outweigh the cons. However there are some cons, the spacious rooms are hard to heat in Winter and can get cold. Breakfast is served on the rooftop, lovely maybe in Spring & Autumn drinking in the views, but cold in Winter and you sit there eating a lovely breakfast in a heavy sweater and coat. If you arrive after 1pm, the taxi is not allowed into Djemma El Fna and drops you off, and you are met by the hotel porter and you have a 10 minute walk to the Riyad. Would we stay at Riyad El Cadi when we return to Marrakech the answer is yes!

The perfect location with the best team looking after us- A home away from home! Nothing was too difficult to organise (we arrived at 3am and needed to leave at 5am), lovely breakfast in one of the beautiful courtyards and a refreshingly cool pool. We also thoroughly enjoyed our tastefully designed suite with a wonderful balcony overlooking the courtyard. Thank you, Julia and team. We could not have had a better stay and will be back!

One of the best hotel experience. The Riad is incredibly beautiful, location is just perfect and the staff welcomed us as if we were family. Big thank you to all the staff and especially Saïd and Karim. I recommand 200%.

This is an outstanding location in marrakech. A series of 6 riads cleverly joined together through a maze of secret doors and cool passageways, you reach an enchanting courtyard garden, where evening meals are served. Carry on and there is a small pool. We stayed in the master suite, which was an enormous series of rooms, terraces and courtyards. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was served promptly each morning individually on our terrace overlooking marrakech roof tops. My only criticism, minor, is the layout is a bit odd, in that you have to go through the bathroom to reach your room….however it does make it convenient if you are sitting in the courtyard or terrace. We ate here one night, and it really was very good with a brilliant atmosphere created by lamps hanging in the trees. Hassan, who waited on, was simply outstanding. His attention to detail. Help and support throughout our stay was remarkable. Mention also to Khalkha who ran front of house with efficiency charm and grace. In fact the abiding memory of our stay in marrakech is always the people who are gracious, helpful and thoroughly lovely. I would recommended this hotel if you are staying in marrakech. We stayed 3 nights ( which believe me given the mayhem just outside the door is probably long enough!). Great jumping off point to explore all of this wonderful country.

We stayed at this place about 16 years ago and we decided to be back this time with our two little girls. We must say that we loved every single moment here, our Ottoman Suite was so comfortable and charming. Breakfast on the panoramic roof top terrace a must, we had couple of dinners and the food was fantastic. A special thank to Said, a fantastic gentlemen!! The real atmosphere of Marrakech in a lovely peaceful Riad in the middle of the colorful Medina.

True hospitality. The Riyad is a beautiful building - actually a series of interconnected spaces around central courtyards, one with a plunge pool. Just a few minutes from the madness of the Medina you find incredible quiet. Our Tanger room was perfect, opening out onto small courtyards on both sides of us. The air is perfumed with the scent of citrus. Dining is an intimate experience whether in the evening on petal strewn tables or at breakfast on the roof terrace with the call to prayer and the sound of swifts echoing about us. A fabulous hotel and base but what shines out is the kindness of Khadija and her team.

Do yourself a huge favor and avoid this ugly hole. You will not be able to sleep for the rooms practically have no doors. You will not be able to shower for the hot water only lasts 2 minutes. You will find yourself in a shabby old place for the price of a decent hotel😳 People who work here are really nice but they cannot create a cake from rotten ingredients…

The service here is absolutely amazing! The staff feels like one big family and they were there to help me with anything I needed. You also can't get a better location. This Riyad is in the heart of the Medina close to all the shopping and major landmarks. My room was more like a suite with a sitting area and chic Moroccan decor. The breakfast and dinner were also amazing. I enjoy breakfast on their roof top terrace with beautiful views of Marrakech and the dinner was served in the romantic courtyard with with charming lamps hanging from the trees. I also go a massage at their spa which was incredibly relaxing. This is definitely a one stop shop for all your vacation needs!

I have been to a few Riads in Marrakesh and so far this one I like best. Great service (special mention Said and Mar1), a fabulous room (we stayed in the Ottoman suite which was amazing, supersized and beautifully decorated) and nice food as well. The place is stunning. Will come back.

Charming Riyad just minutes away from the old medina of Fes. Jasmin and her staff were so warm and attentive with excellent service. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with excellent amenities and the break fast in the morning on the patio was delicious. If you are looking for a property with a lot of character and comfort in the heart of a Fes neighborhood this is the place for you.
