I came here for my honeymoon and then returned with two kids! I love Morrocco anyway but this hotel is a hidden gem. The staff are friendly and it changed ownership last time I was there so I hope the charm hasn't been lost. The food is great too. There are 17 rooms/suites and double that of staff. It is discreet,... more

I have to somewhat agree with one of the reviews below which compares this place to Fawlty Towers - service was really variable! Sometimes staff was really nice and helpful, sometimes they really didn't seem to care, which is not as good as I would expect from a hotel I consider fairly expensive. It seems like the owners are never... more

Winter in Morocco is not as warm as you might expect but when the sun shines the whole country comes alive with colour. We had a dreadful flight with Atlas Blue - very cramped seats, over an hour late taking off with no explanation, a hot cabin and loo paper running out half way through the flight. The Carvanserai is... more

At these prices I expected paradise and experienced Fawlty Towers. The hotel is a delight for the eyes, but the service received fell short of expectation. The hotel is situated several miles from the centre of Marrakech and is certainly off the beaten track! Felt imprisoned in the compound . The service was very disappointing and requests for anything -... more

We stayed in one of the 2 suites that has its own pool - what's not to like about that? Arriving is a bit weird as it looks like a warzone (lots of half built / half demolished buildings) but once you're through the gates it is magic. Really relaxing, very chilled place. We booked on a B&B basis and... more

We didn't stay in Caravan Serai, just went for the day pool & lunch package at €32 per person. Overall the setting is stunning, so well thought out, the staff of the hotel were lovely and the lunch buffet, well dunno what others are talking about, it was fabulous and we're all pretty fussy foodies, so don't take that comment... more

Caravan Serai is a beautiful building and the decor has been done quite nicely BUT in comparison to other hotels I have stayed in in Marrakech - this is certainly NOT luxury. I have a whole list of little complaints that add up to an overall bad impression. Apparently there have been new owners recently and it would seem to... more

This hotel really is one of the most beautiful I have ever stayed in. The swimming pool courtyard is breathtaking, and the lawned area for sunbathing, complete with lovely old trees & tortoises, is delightful. The room was lovely and cool with an amazing bathroom, in beautiful morrocan style. My big complaint was the food. Having spent a few days... more

By far the most spectacular hotel I have ever visited. Serenity is a great word to describe the experience. In mid February 2007, my friend and I spent 4 nights in the Majorelle Master Pool Suite and one in a regular suite overlooking the courtyard pool. Upon arrival, we had been looking forward to exploring Marrakech, but could not bring... more
