A very pleasant Ryad. The silence and tranquility of the Ryad contrasts amazingly with the hustle and bustle outside. It is a very pleasant comfortable place offering excellent food. The staff were good but spoke very little English and if your French isn't great then information etc is difficult to get. more

My husband and I booked this Riad for our honeymoon in Marrakech. They had arranged for a shuttle to pick us up from the airport and they were on time! I loved the location of the Riad in the Medina...it was so close to the Square and we could walk just about anywhere. The staff was unbelievably sweet and kind.... more

We had booked in to another riad for earlier dates in our stay in Marrakech and that accommodation (dar khmissa) wasn't acceptable so we found ourselves needing somewhere else to stay and the staff at riad el borj found us somewhere - they came to our rescue! We stayed at El Borj for one night and everybody was very friendly,... more

Arrived early mid-morning in Marrakech and was welcomed by housekeeper with orange juice. Room was nice and breakfast on terrace was good. (orange juice, coffee or tea, yoghurt, bread, jams, croissants) Unfortuneately cook was sick so unable to try meal. Prompt replies to emails before arrival but bit disappointed as never saw Daniel (may have been overseas) or Rachid. They... more

I stayed in both the Douirya suite and the Annex. The Suite is really spectacular its huge and the traditional decoration is truly amazing. The Annex is also nice, its more peaceful than the main Riad and would be ideal for 4 people as the Annex has only two bedrooms. The Staff were friendly and helpful, we had a meal... more

My family and I stayed at this fabulous ryad for 3 nights. The locations was ideal and we really felt it was a peaceful haven to hide in once the pace of the city became overwhelming. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful despite our basic grasp of french. The place was clean and comfortable and felt very secure. I... more

This Riad is in an excellent location, close to the square but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Daniel was prompt with all email questions and was accurate in his responses. I stayed in the annex with my family who were visiting (I live in Casa) and we had a superb time. The annex was clean, tastefully furnished... more

We stayed at Ryad El Borj at the end of the year. From the moment we made first contact with Daniel our e-mails were responded to promptly and enquiries dealt with efficiently. Ryad el Borj is a perfect and peaceful hideaway conveniently located off the Medina. We stayed in the suite and couldn't quite believe the splendor of our rooms.... more

Very pretty place - it's not as tastefully decorated as other riads in Marrakech but it looks and feels very charming and genuine. The rooms downstairs are prettier, but they are also noisier in the morning (because the kitchen is on the ground floor as well and there is quite a bit of noise coming from there, epecially in the... more

We stayed in november for the second time this year in the Royal Suite of the riad. It was again a marvelous stay. The house is full of atmosphere and character, with a lot of typical zilligs and stuc sculptures. The suite is really exceptional. The situation is quite perfect (very close from the Jamaa El Fna place) and the... more
