From start to finish...and then a little after that, our stay with Riad dar Maia was unquestionably one of the stars of our trip this fall. Very easy access to Jeema el Fna and the souks in a bustling area of the medina. We requested a pick-up at the airport for an easy transfer to the Riad on our first... more

Dar Maia is a comfortable, homey riad in a great location, close enough to walk easily to the main square, yet far enough away from the main souks to feel like a real neighborhood, with a mix of shops catering to tourists and locals. Tami and Maria were very helpful with things like advising on how much a taxi should... more

This place is the best. I stayed in a few other, more upscale riads in the Medina and I couldn't wait to get back to Riad Dar Maia. Maria and Tami were incredibly professional but also so warm and friendly that I felt as though I instantly had friends in Marrakech. Upon arrival Maria sat me down and oriented me... more

Maria & her colleagues could not have been more helpful & accomodating, we only stayed for one night but the Riad is beautifully decorated & a real haven of relaxation. Despite being in the heart of the medina, it is extremely peacful & a great place to chill out. Rooms are small but prefectly formed and breakfast on the terrace... more

Not only is the Riad just a few minutes off Djamaa el-Fna, it also offers nice and comfortable rooms, breakfast on the lovely terrace and - best of all - very nice and warm-hearted people: Guests and hosts become kind of a family. If you want to have a nice chat, some tea or simply company around you, Maria and... more

Riad Dar Maia is a wonderful place to stay in Marrakech, at just five minutes from the square. The rooms are cute and really clean and there is an amazing view of the Medina from the terrace upstairs, when you can have a really juicy breakfast! Maria, the owner of the Riad, is very nice and helpful, and she is... more

This is a very nice Riad. All the rooms are neat and tasteful. And the location is great, as it is only five minutes from Jemaa-el-Fna, the main square. However, the Riad had a few problems in the hygiene department. My wife and I awoke in the middle of the night to find two large cockroaches in our room, or... more

Marrakech can be truly exhausting - it is loud, dirty and hectic. Yet you are blessed if you have booked with Riad Dar Maia. My boyfriend and I are quite prissy when it comes to cleanliness and service, but we found this Riad exceptionally tidy and comfortable. We stayed in an orange room...what a relief to find clean white bed... more

As has already been said a beautiful Riad in a great location with very friendly staff and Maria is the perfect host - great advice on where to eat, what to see and always on hand with a tasty pot of mint tea! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Marrakesh. more
