The Riad is ok for what it costs. The location is great - nice and close to everything. The rooms were clean and basic. The staff spoke no English which caused us problems on new years eve where they prepared us a special dinner even though we told them we were going to be out and then they charged us... More

We had no expectations other than the pics online. We were fully and absolutely well looked after from the moment we were picked up at the airport. If you never been to Marrakesh, the first time you step foot into the Medina could be somewhat overwhelming but the hospitality from the Riad Darna made out transition smooth and safe. The... More

It's tricky to find, but there are plenty of locals willing to help you find your way. And once you've navigated your way through the souks it's only a 10 min saunter down to the Jamma El Fna. Our room, the Yellow Room, had a beautifully decorated ceiling and an authentic Moroccon bathroom. It was exceptionally hot when we visited... More

Excellent Riad, beautifully decorated and a wonderful staff that was very helpful and cooked delicious diners. Even though the Riad is hard to find (take the transfer from the airport), it is extremely well located in the Medina (only few minutes walk from Jemâa El Fna and other attractions)! It is noisy at night (because of the proximity of the... More

Very clean good food we booked the evening meal for the first night as we were arriving late and excellent location. It is advisable to ask the riad to book transfers from the airport as it is hard to find till you get to now the area but one off the staff will take you to the Medina and meet you... This was our first ever visit to Marrakech and it was a real eye opener. We thought we had been picked up and put back into biblical times. Dusty roads, donkey lead carts transporting fruit and vegetables and a riot of colour everywhere you looked. The locals were polite and very friendly. Yes, they were trying to sell their goods,... Upon arriving at the Riad, we were so grateful that we got the airport transfer. Getting there would have been extremely difficult, with all the twists and turns, carts and donkeys of the Old City. The riad is not labled or marked, so it can be difficult to find. It is also in a small alleyway where you have to... More

We ultimately had a lovely stay in the Riad Darna, language difficulty aside (one staff member did not speak any English and kept attempting to communicate with us in French, although we do not speak any French), but we had booked into the Terrace Room for our stay which looks lovely on the website, but is not as it appears.... We were looking for a very authentic-style riad and Riad Darna did not disappoint ! Choosing accommodation is not easy in Marrakech, with the overwhelming options available in the Medina, but we found it here at the Riad Darna ! Though the riad was sometimes challenging to find, as almost anything in the Medina, we became accustomed to finding our... More

After reading many reviews on Tripadvisor, I went with the well priced and located Riad Darna and opted for the "Green Room". I arranged a transfer from the airport (highly recommended - the fee was added to final bill) and as our flight was in the evening, it was a little daunting arriving in darkness with streets full of pedestrians,...
