I'm actually still sitting in the cozy dining room of Riad Al Massarah as I am writing this (so obviously free Internet). It couldn't wait. Why? Dessert!! The fruit kebab guys. Keep some room for the fruit kebab!! Michael, I know you're reading me. As I expected, I couldn't finish dinner as delicious as it was. Thank you for arranging... more

Pass through the iron-bound door from the hot, bustling lanes and alleys of Marrackech into the profound tranquility of one of the most beautiful riads in this desert city. Al Massarah is a traditional merchant's house which has recently been restored to the highest standards of simple luxury by its new owners. Their attentive staff provide smiling and well trained... more

My girlfriend and I have recently returned from a 5 night stay at the Riad Al Massarah but are longing to return. The Riad is simply stunning. It is impossible to comprehend that the manic streets of Marrakech are just a few steps away whilst sipping on an ice cold G&T on the roof terrace of this beautiful hideaway. Michael... more

Well, how many more favourable reviews can Riad Al Massarah have? I had the pleasure to stay here in October 2009, and let me say, it is one of the nicest places that I have ever stayed in. The service from all of the staff was fantastic, and Michael and Michel must be the most pleasant owners of any establishment,... more

My partner and I travelled to Marrakech in June, for a combined Work/Holiday trip. It was also my partners 40th birthday. The Riad was super from start to finish and the owners and staff made it a perfect trip. Their tips about restaurants, markets and taxis were invaluable and it was just generally such a lovely atmosphere that we did... more

My Husband and i spent 4 nights at the Al Massarah, which was a special Birthday treat for me and i have to say it came very close to top of my treat list!! Michael and Michel(the owners) were charming, helpful and very informative. We chose to spend a day... more

The urbane Michel and Michael were instrumental in making the stay perfect from the very beginning. We arrived at approximately 1.30 am after a delayed flight and lengthy queues in passport control and yet still there was the Riad's driver waiting, good naturedly, for us in arrivals. On arriving, we were then offered tea unhesitatingly, but instead opted for Scotch... more

Michael and Michel have created a welcoming and comfortable place for travelers to relax after a day of sightseeing. The Riad is beautiful and elegant. The staff provided wonderful service. Micheal and Michel sat down and had a glass of wine with us to get to know what we were looking for in our visit. They provided us with information... more

It is very difficult to find fault with this riad. Beautifully decorated and an oasis of calm, the temptation was to chill out on the roof terrace or in the library/snug rather than explore Marrakech (resist temptation, Marrakech is great). Do accept their offer of transport from the airport . I don't think we would ever have found the riad... more
