My partner and I stayed in Riad Zara for 3 nights in June and really enjoyed the experience. Visiting Marrakesh was excellent, but staying in Riad Zara was an experience in itself. The room (Aisha) was beautiful, if you don't mind going up a ladder to go to sleep. Monique, the French owner, is very friendly and attentive, but casual... more

Riad Zara was a welcome retreat after 2 days travelling from the Sahara - Monique & staff were very helpful and welcoming - our room was gorgeous (Fatima Suite) the roof terrace is a haven of tranquillity amongst the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Try Monique’s homemade Cherry Clafoutis - it’s to die for... I tried to recreate it... more

A couple of friends and I stayed at Riad Zara for a couple of days and it was amazing. The riad is an oasis in the middle of the old city. As soon as you step through the door, the air is ten degrees cooler. It opens up to a beautiful courtyard with a small pool in the middle for... more

We had the most wonderful experience at Riad Zara! When you're in the center square, it can get very hectic and exhausting. However, Riad Zara's location ( a short 15 minute walk to the square) allows you to step outside of all the tourist craziness and actually see a piece of Moroccan life outside of the souks, etc. We stayed... more

Riad Zara is a wonderful riad. It's THE experience I had in my mind before arriving in Marrakech. People working there are friendly and nice. Always ready to help you, to stay with you or to talk to you about the beauties of Morocco. The riad is an oasis, the perfect solution to relax from the chaos of the city.... more

As two young travellers (early 20s) we found this place a bit too quiet. However the roof terrace was breathtaking and the staff where helpful (especially Zara!) I liked the authentic decor and the place was clean. The neighbourhood is a bit full on to start with but it is surprisingly easy to find the main square. This was our... more

Had a fantastic stay, the RIAD is in a really authentic region of Marrakech so you get to see what real life is like, while always just a short stroll from the Jemma El Fna and other 'must see' sights. The staff were amazing, the decor fabulous and the atmosphere extremely relaxing..... loved this Riad and will definitely be returning... more

We couldn´t have asked for a better experience for first timers to Morrocco! Monique and her crew were overwhelmingly welcoming and helpful. For two young female students, we gained a cultural awareness and understanding of the Morroccan lifestyle. The riad was the perfect environment to come back to after a day in the hussle and bussle of the Medina.~ Thanks... more

Marrakech can be an overwhelming place for the first time visitor, but my experience there turned out to be a genuine pleasure, largely due to the wonderful hospitality of Monique and the calmness and tranquillity of her Riad Zara. With the thoughtful help of Minque to arrange transport from the airport to the Riad, I was delivered to an oasis... more

This Riad is really lovely with beautiful and clean rooms and a very nice terrace. We had a great time there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. What I liked is that this place is a bit away from the crowd and just perfect for relaxing. more
