The Riad Monceau is 2 mns walk from front door to the hub of the main square, yet once behind the door you are worlds away. Peace and tranquillity await you. Staff are excellent, always on hand yet very unobstructive. Would not hesitate to recommend to others. more

Safe stay, very trustworthy staff. Great restaurant (excellent tajines!!!). The rooms were very comfortable and well cared for, although wished we had more english channels on TV but WE DID NOT MISS IT FOR THE STAY !! Excellent value for the perfect location and relaxing terraces on top floor. We appreciate the kind staff for all their help with better... more

We stayed for 4 days and it would be hard to find any fault with this little gem of a Riad Monceau ideally located a few seconds walk only from the Djema El Fna yet amazingly quiet and peaceful. The setting is beautiful and our rooms were very comfortable. The on site moroccan restaurant is a marvel - in our... more

The Riad is in a great location within the old part of Marrakech. As other reviewers have said it is a little difficult to find first time. We booked a taxi through the Riad to meet us at the Airport and the driver was waiting as we came in to the terminal with a sign indicating the name of Riad... more

I barely have a bad word to say about the Riad Monceau. As other reviewers have pointed out, it is difficult to find on your own, particularly as it is an a pedestrian only area. We phoned the hotel before we got on the plane and arranged for transport. Knowing that Mararkech is hot and hectic, we wanted a refuge... more

My wife and I had 3 days away without kids last week. We decided to treat ourselves to a long week end at Riad Monceau / Marrakesh, having read and heard good reports about this hotel / restaurant. The whole experience was fantastic, exceeding all expectations. Riad Monceau is a real little gem offering gorgeous surroundings, great service and a... more

Well if you have read the previous reviews ,95% of them rave about this Raid & it is all true. When we arrived it was 11pm therefore getting the hotel to organise the 25 Eruo return taxi previously was a great idea as we would never have found the entrance otherwise. The taxi driver was there wating for us at... more

We booked this trip using the ratings in Tripadvisor and were not disappointed at all. After reading a number of reviews of various places, and where the main areas were,we chose this Riad due mainly to its location and reviews. We were aware that there we access problems and opted for the meet and greet offered by the hotel for... more

My wife and I stayed at the Riad Monceau from Feb 10th to Feb 14th 2009. It was our first trip to Marrakech. We chose this Riad based purely on Tripadvisor and it's very high ranking and we were not dissapointed. We stayed in the Emir room, one of the standard double rooms on the first floor. The room had... more

Positives: Very easy to find and so handy for main square (if you buy lots you can easily get back to riad to drop off purchases before heading off again) ; didn't feel unsafe at night; nice hamman on top floor of riad; good that there is a restaurant to eat in so that you don't have to go out... more

Management response from

We would like to apologize and confirm that from Nov. 20th to Dec. 20th, 2008, it has been a little difficult to us to have the right taxi drivers for airport transfers as for trips. We are used to work with a team of selected very good drivers (some english speaking) and the manager of this team went this year...
