The Hotel Central in Rabat is by Rabat standards fairly inexpensive (but not by Moroccan standards). The foyer is nice and appealing, the rooms are a bit shabby and not the cleanest - but for a couple of nights stay whilst waiting for the Mauritanian embassy to issue us visas it was OK. It as the name implies is pretty... More

Ideal for travellers but not a place for a romantic break. As the name implies it is central (2 mins walk from the main Rabat Ville station) making it easy to find and a good base to explore the city from. For 150 Dihram the room I got with a double bed was large and spacious with a very high... More

Rooms are not so clean, but big and luminous, but be careful not to take the ones without windows. Position is good, and rooms are colonial style but the main reason to go there is the cheap prices. The owner is nice.

I stayed at the Hotel Central earlier this year, and have been staying there, every time I visit Rabat, for over 20 years. The hotel has nice rooms, they are basic, but in no way are they shabby. Every room has floral tiled floors and high ceilings - rue relics of the French colonial era. The hotel has two large... More

Full of history as an original colonial hotel and seems like it still has the original fittings and furnishings. Shower in room with a shared toilet is 200 Dh but compare that to travelling 6 km out of town for the campsite that doesn't have any working facilities at this time of year (Nov) for 60 each, it doesn't work... Stayed here for several days and staff at reception hardly said bon jour and never smiled at us. When leaving they just received the payment and turned away with no good bye or bon voyage. The mesdames cleaning were on the other hand always glad and did a fine job. Would try to find another hotel next time.

Room was clean with proper beds but was expecting en-suite but got a room with shower and no private toilet. Ended up sharing a toilet that was rather dirty come the morning that had no hot water re. washing hands. The actual hotel and the rooms were very dated and tiled and it looked like something out of fawlty towers... More

After spending 4 months in Morocco, I had invited a friend to come and visit. We booked a room and were very impressed by the friendly service and warm hospitality. The desk was very affable and eager to help out, especially my friend who didn't speak Arabic or French. In addition, the room was comfortable and they provided some bottles... More

I reserved a room with a bathroom, and got given one which had a shower literally in the room, and the toilet was in the corridor and didnt work well at all. The room was nice enough though, with a view over the terrace of the Hotel Balima. Fairly well located as well for walking around the all the major... More
