The Kempinski is a typical 5 star type hotel in Africa. The Kempinski is comfortable with all the amenities, but be prepared to pay for it. The Sheraton is a little less upscale and more affordable and is a good alternative if you are budget minded. I wouldn't recommend any other hotels in Djibouti for Westerners.

Was in Djibouti for business, and stayed at the Kempinski, which is a land mark around here, is extraordinarily clean. Food is good and fresh in line with a 5 star. Even if the hotel being full, leisure activities where always available in relatively small groups. We experienced a great experience by the pool. It's a must see and try....
