Really nice staff, clean large rooms. Good atmosphere - especially in late afternoon, early evening when local people came for talks, meetings etc. When I had a question the people at the desk always were kind and eager to help. very good hotel.

Very kind, friendly and engaging staff. Like the rest of the country the amenities are poor and the condition of the property is poor but based on the depravation in this country it's fine for a few nights. The rooms vary in standard so if you don't like yours get another one. 112 was way better than 116 for example.
I've stayed in the Savanna a number of times now and for me it is the best all round hotel in the city. It is near the center so plenty of places to go out and eat, is very quiet and the water is good if you choose the second floor.

Booking was made through a travel company. Would describe as 2-3 star by US standards, but the customer service is what makes this hotel stand out. Every request was met with prompt efficiency. Most likely because the owner was on site at all hours and personally followed through on even the simplest request. Rooms are huge.
