Given the price of rooms, would expect much more but found the service in particular to be exceptionally bad. Check in for a group of 7 took us over an hour. Meals by the pool were a comedy of errors--very slow, wrong entrees, cheeseless cheeseburgers. The staff only seem to know two words in English--"it's coming". If you can updgrade... more

The hotel is old and needs renovation. I know its Africa and the standards are different but Ive been to Accra, Lagos and Luanda but I have never seen such a filthy hotel. The lobby is o.k. The floor ceiling is full of mold and the moldy smell is everywhere. The carpet in the room is so dirty, stains all... more

I spent a week at this hotel with several co-works. Very OK, but expensive. One weakness is lack of surge capability at the reception. If a group of people check in, as when the Air France plane arrives from Paris, you might have to wait for an hour to get checked in. It's a business hotel, convenient to downtown and... more

The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Always someone on hand who spoke English. The rooms on the 5th floor have all been refurbished to a good standard. Frequent power losses not a problem as hotel has own generator. Wi-fi internet offered but couldn't get it to work. Restaurant a bit of a let down but generally OK; clean... more

This was simply the worst hotel linked with a reputable brand I have ever stayed in. I stayed there on a few separate occasions with business and every single time there was an issue or problem. The hotel is old and dated with one small cafe, ordinary restaurant and 2 small shops. There are a few check in staff that... more

I spent 3 nights at this hotel during Aug of 2008. The room was nothing short of a shocker. Filthy, old room with disgusting shower- in desperate need of an upgrade. Food and drinks - expensive. The pool area is nice. Staff CAN NOT speak English - so be warned. more

I spent four nights at Le Meridien in Libreville, from Friday through Tuesday. I read in advance the other reviews posted and intended to keep an open mind. I come away from the experience pretty much in agreement with the others. The room (standard class 99,000 CFA/$200 US per night) was comfortable and clean. However, I did see cockroaches in... more

This is my second stay in this hotel (it is close to work) but it will be my last. When I pay these premium rates I at least expect something other than the rude, incompetent service you get at cut - rate African establishments. Sadly this is not the case. Although their are exceptions, right from the front desk people... more

This is one of the two hotels that can be booked in Libreville online. My French is not good enough to speak on the phone, so I couldn't reserve a room in Libreville other than online and was flying into Libreville too late to find something on my own (and first time in Africa so was a bit nervous about... more
