Mohokare Guest House
My partner and I are from Durban, South Africa and are thus quite accustomed to first class/quality accommodation in and around South Africa. In fact we demand high standards, especially with regards to cleanliness, safety and a luxurious living space with all the mod cons. Lesotho is a country landlocked by South Africa. So it’s totally surrounded by a country that boasts a 1st world infrastructure. One would think that given the close proximity to South Africa the standards in a SADC country would be similar, but you would be surprised...accommodation in many parts of Africa are atrocious…I mean would you really pay R20 (USD$2) per room per night? If you prefer (or if you’re crazy) to pay as little as that, then I can rest assure you, that you will never see the rising sun again! To our surprise, Mohokare Guest House was a hidden gem.
