The best thing about La Residence is that the beds were very comfortable. Sometimes that's hard to find here in Madagascar. H owever, considering the price, it was unacceptable that they had so many plumbing issues, a huge amount of mold (bad for allergies), and not the best service (in a country that usually has outstanding service). Stayed at La Residence for seven nights. I booked a 'suite' so that I could have internet access (not available in all rooms). Sadly this was unavailable after the first day due to a problem with the phone line. The manager kindly offered her mobile internet flash drive to check emails but was not quite the same as wireless access.... More

If you want a moment of calm this is most certainly the place. Located in a non busy part of Tana , A few minutes walking from the hotel ,you can see the nice view of the rice field. the rooms are clean and big ,the owner and staff are very kind and helpful.
