Stayed at the Radama Hotel two nights before departing on a Gap Adventure and was disappointed. The main problem is the hotel looks nothing like it is represented on it's website; the pictures must have been taken years ago. My wife and I could skype everytime, even if I was in bed. Isn't that simply luxury!!! She find it tough to be ten thousand miles apart, but I found THE HOTEL to be online all the time and free of charge. This was the first time I visited Tana, I booked the hotel based on the reviews from Trip Advisor and to say the least I was disappointed. Entrance to the hotel is a small alley that led a small and dark "lobby". The hotel is well located in the middle of the city, the personnel were very courteous and polite.... more

Malagasy touch for the entire experience, those people may not have fifty years of experience in international hospitality but you can appreciate great service. You meet Nalhy at the reception desk, very friendly man! I went in a four star hotel in France, the have wifi in the reception area and you must pay whether you need inroom wired internet!... more

A very friendly and quiet hotel in a very safe area of Antananarivo. In an old building, with large rooms, nice older wooden furniture, lovely wood floors, and satellite tv, I think with CNN if you need a dose of news in English. Restaurant downstairs is ok, convenient, and the hotel is near several nice restaurants in the upper town... more
