I recently spent 9 days at the Longonot Lodge. It is located in a upscale sububan area of the city, about a 10 minute drive to downtown.
The property was a former embassy and is set up with a main building with livingroom, dining, kitchen and owners rooms in the front with a separate building of 6 en suite 2 bed rooms in a separate building at the back of the property. I was in a group of 12 so we filled the back building. This was great for privacy.
If I was traveling as a couple or two I would ask for one of the two nicer guest rooms in the front building. They have real showers. The back has only hand showers and a tub.
The best part is the owner/manager. A very sweet single Mom with little children. She is Kenyan and runs the Lodge for her family who own other properties, one downtown.
I would recommend the Longonot Lodge for a missions or student groups. They serve breakfast and supper. The chef is quite good at european/american style food.
