Very very nice lodge! Nice style! Friendly staff and owners, you feel comfortable and relaxed. Clean, large and cozy rooms! Delicious food! And perfectly located near the centre of town. And the muffin, when you checkout is a nice gift!!! :-)

The whole idea about madidi was just cute, portable distance to the cbd. Welcome made feel like i was in my own country. Kitchen staff made me adapt to Malawian food, I'll surely go back. Soo county, soo African.c.

Great service and some great food (try the chicken wraps and home made salsa). Try to stay in the rooms around the courtyard which are big and roomy. There is construction going on currently (August 2012) and when complete should have a wonderful pool and spa area. There is internet for purchase (400 mk for 25 mb).

African sad neon style, Madidi lodge in other countries would be a low price hostel. In lilongwe. Here it costs up to 98 dollars. For? A nice patio, spacious dark rooms, neon light old bathrooms, dusty cleanliness. It's a waste of money. Invest your money in other things.

Lovely little hotel, with a wonderful little courtyard. Within walking distance of the cross-roads shopping area (maybe 10 minutes when I walked), and apparently walking distance to Old Town (but I did not do this, in the car it looked close enough to walk in 20-30mins). Safe area.

Honestly, I stayed in several places in Lilongwe, but I prefer Madidi. Its cozy, very helpful staff, peaceful, yet close to town. The rooms are very big and have a very warm decor. And the gardens are wonderful, so green, lots of birds. And on arrival I received a free massage in their treatment room, and man I needed that!

What a fantastic experience our group of 37 had while staying at Madidi. The rooms were clean and the meals delicious. When it came time to leave we were even given a muffin to take knowing that we would be traveling for more then 24 hours. The service was excellent!!
