Stayed here upon our arrival in Windhoek after overnight flight from Frankfurt. We arrived at eight in the morning and received a very warm welcome from Heidi. We were pleasantly suprised we could check in to the room already! Rooms are nicely decorated. Service is very friendly and the owners do their utmost to ensure a pleasant stay and give... More

Villa Violet is set among bushy fruit trees behind a protective wall and electrified fence, about 5 minutes drive to Joes Beerhouse (a local hotspot) and 10 minutes drive to the main highway to Etosha National Park. Freshly bakes cookies were aplenty and the kitchen was open, help-yourself style. The rooms were spacious, quiet and comfortable. Highy recommend.

We bookended our Namibian adventures with stays at Villa Violet on our first and last evenings in town. We were treated as friends rather than guests. Lovely accommodation in a quiet neighbourhood that is within easy distance of everything you need in Windhoek - including just five minutes to Joe's!

My girlfriend and I stayed here on our first night in Namibia before driving to Etosha. It was equipped with everything you may need, had great breakfast, and close to the best restaurants. I would highly recommend this place to anybody staying a night or two in Windhoek. Will definitely book there again

We spent 3 nights at the Villa in the end of February. Although I found it a bit too luxurious for a family stay, it is a home feeling place with the utmost attendance. The swimming pool is quite small for the kids but enough for cooling down after daylond trip. The location is quite convenient for runners but to... More

The location is not far from the centre of Windhoek, but it felt somewhat isolated. A local restaurant - "Joe's Beer House" - was recommended by the hosts and proved to be well worth a visit although they recommended that even though it was a mere 800 metres distant we should get a taxi if returning after dark. The room... More

Villa Violet was a great way to spend our last night in Namibia before flying out the next morning. Booking online was easy, their response via email was prompt. The grounds are very nice and secure; our room was lovely and clean with no noticeable noise. Heidi was so nice and helpful.

Villa Violet deserves its Tripadvisor rating - we just found the shower / toilet very small and we are not big people! But the lovely quiet garden and friendly staff more than made up for this lack of space.

All we needed was one night to find out what a wonderful place Villa Violet is. A couple of weeks ago we stayed for an extra night in Windhoek because of the change in the flight schedule. But it really didn´t matter because we had such a nice stay. We felt like staying at a real home. Thanks Heidi and... More
