Cap Ouest was a nice little budget hotel on the beach in Yoff Senegal, near Dakar. If you have traveled to West Africa before you know not to expect to much, so knowing this my stay in Cap Ouest was ok. Almost no one in Senegal speaks English, so unless you do ,or your "other half "does, i wouldn't advise this as a destination to visit. Dakar is also the 2nd most expensive city in Africa.
The hotel is not as advertised on the internet, there has been some photo editing in those shots. It is unpainted to a large degree, resturant chairs are plastic el cheepo's. No rooms have a TV, and there is no tea or coffie making facilities. There is however some hot water,(rare in houses in senegal)but it lasts about 1 minute till it goes cold. The rooms upstairs were quite nice considering all this, but the rooms downstairs were not nice at all. More like camping downstairs.
The food at the little resturant/bar was very nice However. Broche de lott was a very nice dish indead...
