This is a very average chain hotel. I stayed just the one night and didn't particularly like the place. The pool area is ok - the pool itself very large, but the drinks service was rude and overpriced. The bars likewise were average and overpriced for Lome. The rooms were in need of a refurb and not great value for... more

I actually did not stay in this hotel, but I had a subscription for the pool (which is great, btw) and I used the restaurant a lot. For my first month in Lome, the subscription was 18000 CFA, then it went up at 22000 CFA. Than, all of a sudden it's 33000 CFA. In September when I tried to renew... more

I've stayed here twice and have had pleasant experiences. The pool and grounds are nice. Rooms are a bit dated and small, but overall this is a nice hotel by West African standards. more

We stayed two nights at the Sarakawa in May 2008. This hotel has a huge swimming pool & beautiful gardens. The rooms are average West African business class. Each floor has several "guards" posted in the hallways whose main job seems to be to call the elevator when you appear. They didn't prevent a mysterious room service delivery attempt late... more

I stayed on the 3rd floor and the internet service was very poor not to mention it's usually free at any other hotel. There was no english speaking channels on the television except for CNN. On two occasions I didn't have any water for a bath. During the night the hotel was full of the local working girls. During my... more

Stayed at the Mecure for 3 nights from 3rd July 2006 to 7th July 2006. Rooms were neat and clean, house keeping staff very friendly. Security very tight as there was 3 guards on the 3rd floor. Reception staff not very helpful, but this may be due to the language barrier as French is spoken. We wanted to get a... more

This was our 8th visit to the hotel, the first being n 1986. Since privatisation, it has been run by the Accor Group and marketed under its Mercure brand. We stayed 3 nights 26-29 December 2005 (room 326) and 3 nights 2-5 January 2006 (room 364). It is located on coast road, about 3 Kms out of city centre, towards... more

My two nights at the Mercure Sarakawa marked the end of a ten-day trip through Ghana and Togo, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The room was comfortable and had a great balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. The only odd part about the room was the toilet was in a completely separate room from the rest of the... more
