I stayed three times during July and August 2008. It was my first trip to Uganda. I never found anywhere else as nice and it was always a pleasure to return...

Every room I occupied was spacious, nicely furbished and clean. The mature gardens are delightful and neatly maintained. What makes the place so superb are the staff... They made me feel special. Especially, Goeffrey the chef! As a consequence, I've positive praise for the place. The only reason I've not given it an 'excellent' score is that my washing wasn't dry on it's return at my request. It'd been handed in two days earlier, but to be fair it was a Sunday and it had rained! I felt however, that by giving an 'above average' rating they'd not become complacent!

My brother's friends - who live nearby - recommended the hotel, stating that the owner, an ambassador had bought the land ten years previously and waited until the gardens had matured before building and opening a year ago. The proprietor invited... more
