Unfortunately, Lusaka has almost no budget accommodation options and so almost everybody ends up staying at ChaChaCha. It shows. The place is shabby and rundown and generally looks pretty sorry for itself. It's also noisy and not very clean. The bar is only metres from the dorms, so don't expect to get much sleep without earplugs. We camped, which was better than stayind in dorms, except that the site was so small everybody was squashed in together with not even enough space for to put guy ropes out.
ChaChaCha's redeeming feature is its location - very close to city centre and a short taxi ride from the bus station. The staff were also nice and if you arrive at the right time you can get a meal cooked for you, as long as you provide the ingredients! It's a resonably cheap place to stay, but if there was an alternative I'd take it.
