Amid the increasingly monstrous, impersonal new hotels springing up all over Thimphu, small, unpretentious and cosy hotels like the Yeedzin are becoming increasingly rare in the centre of town. Potted plants cascade chaotically down the front steps leading into a cheerful lobby. The rooms are simple but clean, comfortable, and perfectly adequately equipped. Staff are friendly and helpful, and breakfast... More

Visited Bhutan suddenly. Liked the place from website itself. Wonderful ambiance ... It is perfect in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Nice rooms. Very clean. Very good bhutanese food as well great Aloo paratha too. Wonderful Room service. Helpful staff. Walkable location from center of the town.

Upon my arrival in Bhutan, I was whisked to this hotel - from where I would be stationed while doing all the paperwork (etc etc) prior to going to my teaching post. The staff was friendly and very helpful (three tiny ladies insisted on bringing my bag down, they chatted friendly when i was alone in the dining room, coffee... More

its a very warm and cozy hotel. the rooms are furnished well , it has wooden flooring and has amenities like coffee makers, oil heaters,, TV and hair dryer in the bathroom. there is continuous running hot water, which is a great bliss in a place like Thimpu. The staff is friendly but their service is not that great. you... More

There are now more modern, international-standard hotels in Thimphu, but if you don't want to forget that you are in Bhutan rather than any other country in the world, Yeedzin's old-fashioned charm would be a good choice. It is a favourite choice of NGO workers, academics and students. It is competently run and the manager Mr Rai is ever obliging.... More

Nice little hotel- family run but now needs some updating of rooms; the meals are tasty but need to be ordered ahead of time or they will make you wait at the table; the front desk staff are friendly; you will also need to confirm prior to your arrival;

When I visited Bhutan I stayed at the Yeedzin and I was very happy with the room and the ambience and even with the menu in the dining room. I liked best the location, though, which is right in the city. Usually tours are organised and included in the package one has to purchase for Bhutan, but the location allows... More

Nice guest house on the edge of central Thimphu. People at the reception are very professional and friendly. Beds are comfortable and rooms in bhutanese style with wooden floors are quite clean. The bedcovers are not washed after every guest. Some trouble with the bathtub that was leaking. A european-plug power adaptor is necessary! Girls taking care of the breakfast... More

Not a bad stay- old world style lodging with vast rooms (like, seriously big). The bathrooms aren't great- I didn't have hot water- but that was fine for one night. Bed was comfortable, and each room has its own kitchen and entertaining area! The restaurant is good here, although a bit lonely. Changing small denominations of foreign currency at the... More

This is a hotel frequented by long-term stayers. I myself stayed two weeks, taking over from someone who had planned to stay several weeks. As hardware, the hotel is nothing to shout about. The wooden floors creak and so can be noisy. The water and water pressure are problems: the water is scalding hot or cold and the pressure is... More
