Other reviewers have counted Hotel Phuntso Pelri as noisy. I would not agree that the hotel is noisy; rather I would say, like any city, there are noises in Thimpu. We stayed 2 nights recently in room 310. Lobby is magnificent. Looks very luxurious. Rooms are modern and nice. White bedding, and beautiful wood floors. We (a party of four) undertook a cultural tour of Bhutan staying in several hotels over an eight day period. We could only afford the standard class hotels however this was one of the best. I stayed here for 1 night in mid march. It’s a relatively new hotel just behind the main street of Thimpu.
