I stayed at the Radisson for a total of six nights. The first three nights (before a World Expeditions trek) were spent in a basic room, which was nice but nothing special for this kind of hotel. The last three nights (after the trek) were spent in a Club Room - we were upgraded free of charge due to limited... more

For the first trip to Kathmandu, Nepal, I must say my short 3 day stay at Radisson Kathmandhu Hotel turned out to be a very pleasant experience. Unlike the reviews I read on other forums, my personal opinion is that this hotel has a charm on its own. The staff, be it at the reception, the restaurant, room service or... more

This place was pretty bad. you are lucky if you end up with a newer renovated room but otherwise be prepared for gross dirty carpets and rooms that are about 40C in the fall. the staff is rude and they have no idea of what cusomter service is. more

This is on Lajimpath and very close to Indian Embassy as well as Thamel (this market in Kathmandu is the most visited place by the tourists). They offer very good rates and Indian food. Staff is very tourist friendly too. But approach road to the Hotel is conjusted. more

The hotel is a decent property, however do not try and compare it with the delhi radisson. The room was nice and the breakfast good. My advice avoid the Casino, even if you decide to venture don't expect a vegas or an atlantic city more

loved you

We went on a business trip. The hotel is an excellent one and we have experienced a nice time. We stayed there for five days in two slots. Everytime we entered the hotel, we were greeted with a homely reception. In the month of March, Kathmandu was very hot but hotel atmoshphere was so cool that we could not fell... more

Great place to stay when visiting Kathmandu. Not cloistered away (like the Hyatt) but still felt safe and a refuge from the frantic pace of the City itself. Inevitably not as quirky as some hotels (due to being part of such an established chain) but clean, comfortable and great staff. more

This hotel was a gem amongst a hive of dust and noisy traffic. Walking distance to the main town of Thamel where shopping was excellent. The breakfast was fantastic and the dinners very good but expensive. We were able to negotiate though at a buffet dinner where we only had soup and salad. Dont use the internet, phone or facilities... more

Excellent hotel, on par with any business hotel in the west. Very clean, exceptionally friendly staff, excellent buffets. Good location, 10 minute walk north of Thamel. Only negative are very pricy extras, such as internet, laundry, etc. more

VERY friendly hotel staff but not really worth $127/night for Kathmandu. The rooms are normal/smaller sized and the air conditioner wasn't working properly the entire time (power goes out and the generators kick in). The wireless internet is painfully slow (much faster and cheaper in internet cafes which you can find all over the city). The travel desk wasn't especially... more
