Dwarika's is a quiet refuge in a busy city. It is a brick building built around a courtyard. The building is modern, but preserves the old style of architecture. Rooms are big, decorated with local art, have hardwood floors and modern bathrooms. The staff is very helpful. Our original room looked out the back of the hotel. We requested a... more

We stayed at Dwarika's in July of 2009 for 1 week. It was a magnificent oasis amdist the chaos of Kathmandu. The room was large and airy. Very comfortable (we had to request for softer mattress). The attention to detail was marvelous, the service was excellent, the setting was peaceful, and the 3 pets really added great charm to this... more

An absolute haven amongst the shabby, noisy and cluttered city. The rooms were amazing - some of the biggest I've ever seen in a hotel, amd the attention to detail was faultless. Service was impeccable and the whole atmosphere and surroundings were magical. One of the comments in the Vistors Book summed it up very well: "It's almost like entering... more

Namaste. Yes it’s in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city but as soon as you come through those doors it all melts away. The buffet dinner on the first night was very tasty. The rooms were very large and comfortable. Service was also good although we were brought into a room with two single beds when... more

This is a beautiful hotel, and for our purposes it was a great choice. We were just coming back from Tibet (don't go there, by the way, it is beautiful but ruined, go to Bhutan instead) and wanted somewhere in Kathmandu to hide for four days. If we wanted to be out and about in Kathmandu, somewhere more central (the... more

The Dwarika is certainly a very unique hotel, and the rooms are beautiful, very very beautiful, and huge, and look out onto gorgeous gardens- perfect for a romantic gettaway (and also a gettaway from the hustle and bustle of central Kathmandu). Please just beware of accepting an airport pick up from the hotel. I had confirmed the hotel pick up,... more

What an amazing hotel Dwarikas is. It's so charming, so authentic to the area, so peaceful. It really makes you feel like you're in Nepal rather than those big hotels that are all modern and take away from the experiences. It's location was excellent. The staff were superb. We had special diet requests and the manager informed the whole staff... more

For someone Kathmandu can be overcrowded, noisy and sometimes too busy place, but when entering Dwarika Hotel near the airport, you can find very different world. Peaceful place, excellent architecture with old wood carvings and great service. This kind hotel you can't find anywhere. more
