This is a tired old hotel with poor management (they are more interested in selling rooms to tour operators, they're not interested in individual customers). Some of the front desk staff are very pleasant, but room service is terrible, the food is barely edible and if you leave finished dishes out in the (unlit) corridor then they can stay there... more

Hallo! I spent 5 nights in Kathmandu in Hotel Manang in October /November this year, before and after my trek in Himalayas. Very good hotel with a very pleasant atmosphere, all for a very reasonable price. Rooms are big, clean and very comfortable. For those who will go trekking, believe me, after your long trek you will need and enjoy... more

This is a good hotel, a solid bet for a clean and comfortable (fairly basic) room and convenient location. By Nepal standards, this place was very good. The rooms were always clean but some are a bit dark and damp, especially in the bathrooms. They are pretty good overall though, with fan, AC and many TV channels. I would recommend... more

The first room I was given smelled so bad of gasoline I asked to be switched. While the second one didn't smell terrible, similar to the first one, it was very dirty. I did not feel like the towels or sheets were clean. Lights didn't work too well in the bathroom. The food at breakfast was edible. Overall, a real... more

We were at this hotel on our way onward and return to Tibet. This hotel is the most unfriendly hotel I have stayed in all my travelling till now. We along with our group had kept our bags in the hotel, the bags are kept in a room which is accessed by the staff only. When we came back from... more

Hotel rooms were very tired and dirty. Headboard on bed were worn and greasy, Bath Tub was designed by a casualty lawyer. 45 degree slope and nowhere to stand without being a contortionist. A/C was there but ineffective. Asked for a fan and was told they were all given out. Walked in lobby and saw two unused fans in adjoining... more

This hotel like many others in the thamel district is in desperate need of reform. Don't be fooled by the reception or the photos of the rooms in the elevator. The rooms are tired, dull and dirty. The bathroom was old, dirty and visited nightly by various bugs and insects. The 'deluxe' rooms have a balcony but you won't be... more

Before and after our trek we were booked in this hotel by our tour operator. It is located at the north end of Thamel, rather quiet. Breakfast is on a nice terrace and with good choice of food. Rooms are dark, some looked out to a wall, a/c working instead of opening a window. Reception always nice, they looked after... more

On my first visit to Nepal, I had booked my reservation to this hotel via their website, but then after I have been contacting the hotel directly as I am very pleased with their service and of course the best price that they always offer me. I am recommending this hotel to my friends and would like to recommend to... more
