13 Dec 2009 | Trip type: Family New

http://thestunzfamily.wordpress.com/2009/12/13/glacier-hotel-pokhara-nepal/ Our family stayed here for 7 days in October. The facilities exceeded our expectations and the cost was very reasonable. We wished we would have had one more bed but we managed to be very comfortable with a teenage son and 10 yr. old daughter. For the price, you could reserve two rooms if you need the space. The staff... more

We enjoyed the good accomodations made even better with the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel owner also went out of his way in helping plan a wonderful 3-day tour package which included a visit to a village outside of Pokhara to witness the awe-inspiring view of the sunrise overlooking the magnificent Anapurna and Fishtail mountains. more

Raj and his staff welcomed us with friendliness and professional service. They arranged our trekking, our return night at the hotel, and our transport back to KTM. Raj is a great personality who simply steps in and takes care of what needs to be done to take care of his guests. The hotel has a pleasant garden area, a separate... more

We chose this hotel for our second visit to Pokhara, because of Trip Advisor recommendations. I seriously question whether this hotel is the best in its pricerange in Pokhara, as it was on the day we booked. The hotel promotes itself as being the closest to the lake, yet in this case, being close to the lake is not desirable.... more

I have stayed in the Glacier Hotel twice and will return to stay again when I visit Pokhara next time because the hotel is located in the heart of town, right at the lake, within walking distance to all restaurants and features nice and clean rooms with all amenities you need. The rooms are quiet and large enough, some are... more

The Glacier Hotel is an oasis in northern Nepal. After staying at tea houses and other hotels in Pokhara, the Glacier was a real pleasure . It is located right in the middle of Lakside with beautiful views of the lake from the hotel and restaurant. The staff is well trained, friendly and was always ready to answer questions or... more

We chose the Glacier Hotel after first taking a day trip and then a four day tour/trek to Jomson and Kagbeni arranged by the hotel's owner, Rajendra. This was our first trek and we are in our mid-sixties. Rajendra designed a trip suited to our needs. Our guide, driver, and porter could not have been better. We found the hotel... more

After reading the positive tripadvisor reviews we decided to contact Rajendra at the Glacier Hotel and ask him to organize our two week trip to Nepal. We are grateful to all those who submitted reviews as it proved to be an excellent choice. Rajendra helped us plan the trip and his tips and suggestions for our itinerary proved invaluable. He... more

Glacier Hotel is a great all-in-one place for accommodation, dining and tours. The owner Rajendra also runs a tour and trekking company called JR Trekking and Tours which has its office at the front of the hotel. They have a fleet of van(s), car(s), and 4WD vehicle(s). One can therefore have all one's touring activities arranged by the hotel either... more

I stayed at the Glacier Hotel in Pokhara for 10 nights. In my opinion, this is the best place to stay in Pokhara. Nice terrace to sit out on. It is situated in the perfect location. The owner was very kind and extremely helpful. The restaurant serves good food. Good accommodation. Good staff. For the cost, this hotel is an... more
