What a fabulous place to get away from it all. Right from the Land Rover trip to get in to the Bedford TK truck to get out the whole place is just exhilerating. This lodge really is great. It is situated right in the park, so it takes a couple of hours to drive there from the town / airport, through deep rivers and along jungle tracks. What a fantastic time we had at Chitwan, Mom, Dad and 2 children aged 11 and 7. Loved getting up early and going on the elephant safari, absolute highlight of the trip. Seems like this is the place where EXPLORE (the adventure travel company) books their groups as well as a couple of other smaller english adventure tour groups - they don't stay too long so it was nice to see people our age (like them there) but then see them take off so there weren't too many... more

this is not for the faint of heart! We were jeeped into the camp. The jeep drove across a river, etc. You stay in cabins with just a dim bulb in the bathroom and a small kerosene lamp for the night time. It is fun, however. I had the great pleasure of staying here for 4 days. The staff are incredible - knowledgable, friendly, caring. The included meals were of a very high standard. The activities were all sensational and accompanied by guides who really knew their stuff.
