Well furnished, comfortable, clean rooms. Free internet access. very friendly, english-speaking staff. A little off the beaten path. Stay on the club level (above 15th floor) if you can. Fitness room a little small, but adequate. more

This hotel is not new, but it is perfectly fine to me. It is more like a business hotel, small sized lobby, small restaurant, but the room is nothing to complain about. Stayed here for 4 nights at the Club floor - 15th Floor. This hotel has a team of helpful staff with excellent customer service and it makes my... more

I had two nights in this hotel and I'm happy with the service and the room. I stayed on the club floor (15th?) and given the appearance of the hotel, it certainly in need of a makeover to bring it into 2009. The room I had was good and it had all the mod-cons including a fax machine. It was... more

This was my first trip to Taipei. The hotel was chosen by our host and I had a pleasant stay. The hotel is well located (5 minutes from the MRT), the staff is very friendly and the rooms were very big. The hotel is aged and needs a total refurnishment but everything was clean. You need to ask for a... more

This is a fine hotel in a good location. Rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Selection at breakfast is good and includes everything you'd expect. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall I'd have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for a stay in Taipei. more

Such a friendly people...not only at our hotel, but everywhere else in Taiwan! The hotel was very modern en our room was lovely. From reception to housekeeping: The service was excellent! There's a small coffee corner in the lobby with great coffee and yummie cakes, the drinks at the bar were nicely served! Food at the restaurant wasn't bad but... more

pay attention there is no way this is 5 star hotel. Maybe just 4 star. What they claim is a gym gets crowded if there is more than 4 people in it, sauna - oh yeah the cupboard with steam coming out of it. Changed its name now due to the Rebar scandal last year where the owner ran off... more

I booked this hotel through a travel agent where the rate is only HK$770 for a 5 star hotel, I think the price is reasonable. As I was travelling with my aged Mom, I need to use taxis a lot and therefore have no worry about taking the MTR/trains. The lobby is small and not so welcoming but the rooms... more

I'm a Priority Club member and the Rebar was the only Intercontinental Group in Taipei or Taiwan, so I stayed there for 3 nights in March 2007 despite some negative reviews about its location. It may be not be next to any underground station, but I could see Taipei 101 from my window and I guess that it would have... more

Very good hotel. plus: very nice and spacious room (got free upgrade, executive floor), very friendly hotel-staff, supermarkets, bakeries and lot of different restaurants in short walking distance minus: 15-20min walk to metro (or take bus to metro), shower wall was not 100% leakproof, no good view from room we had room 1519 (photos), stayed 2006-10-19 till 2006-10-21 due to... more
