Stayed 6 nights during the typhoon scare and splurged for a great room on the 9th floor for only about $75 a night including taxes and stuff. Super deluxe room with a steam shower, one of those inscrutable multi-function Japanese toilets with a hard drive (apparently) and a huge menu of options in Chinese! On one hand, there are not many budget hotel accommodations listed online (in English at least), and the Yomi fit the bill in terms of being a fairly clean, convenient, and reasonable hotel in Taipei. I had a terrible experience during my stay there. I was at the hotel in the morning at about 10+ and was informed that no rooms were avaliable for early check in. This is reasonable to me since the offical time for check in was 2pm. Hence I requested to place my luggage at the hotel and enquired if possible... more

Stay at Yomi last Novermber, will definitely recommend to friends. Good location, easy walk to MTR, close to Mos Burger and other cafe and restaurants. Popular with Japanese tourist.
