Rooms: * Only okay, nothing amazing or beautiful. Not worth the price! ($256 per night... this was after the promo code!) A very average looking room a holiday inn could of provided. * The bathrooms needed to be updated.. there were rust stains in the tub and there was only 1 bathrobe considering we had 2 people * The bed... more

1) My husband and I was astounded at the absence of bell service upon our arrival and departure at the main entrance. It is unheard of with any Grand Hyatt that we have stayed in. We also noticed not many houseguests have such privilege!! 2) The check-in reception was disorganized. I presented my Platinum Hyatt Goldpassport card at check-in. As... more

This hotel is awesome! The only negative thing i have to say is after i upgraded my room to the executive package with free buffet breakfast, i was so disappointed with the lack luster selection. I mean for a Grand Hyatt...and for the extra $$$ im paying, the breakfast compared to other hotels in asia of this level was pathetic.... more

Great location, old rooms, and poor service, such a disappointment for a Grand Hyatt. Be warned you need to book for the buffet restaurant. When I turned up with clients for lunch I was turned away, not even given a choice of another outlet in the hotel, and when I complained to the front desk that I should have been... more

The good stuff: 1. Next to Taipei 101. 2. A 5 min walk to the nearest 7-11. 3. Huge lobby. 4. Professional front desk, concierge etc. 5. Love the huge calligraphy painting in the lobby. The not so good stuff: 1. Quite a walking distance to nearest MRT. 2. Breakfast buffet is quite bad. Local Chinese breakfast dishes weren't all... more

unless you are into tasteless nouveau tall food to be eaten with a background of soul sucking European techno beat music while being served by waiters who have no clue what proper service is -- they are simply too young. Also, contrary to the experience of the Concierge, there are several Cigar bars in the Area other than the Westin... more

Conveniently located next to the 101 Tower (world highest building), Grand Hyatt Taipei is a big luxury hotel. The outdoor swimming pool is fairly long (20 meters) and the gym is correctly equipped. As all Grand Hyatt in the world, rooms are spotless and comfortable. Breakfast buffet at the Club is American style and you can also have breakfast at... more

The Grand Hyatt is located near City Hall, the Taipei Convention Center and a lot of shopping. The lobby is grand, but there is a severe lack of seating where one can wait or relax for a few minutes. The rooms are on the small size, with only one seat and no settee. There is no true rolling chair for... more

The location is great, just behind 101 Tower, nice Lobby and a few interesting bars and restaurants, rooms are big and well equipped but for sure they need to be renewed, stains on the carpet and old furniture... it's a very good hotel but for a 5 stars and that price i expect something else. it's an Ok deal... not... more

I booked into this hotel to meet clients who were using it as a base for their regional off-site business meeting. Arriving in the tail of the typhoon, my first impressions of Taiwan were of rain-lashed, dark skies. Arriving at the hotel, the first thing that struck me was the size - and height - of the lobby. Acres of... more
